25.01.2022 Just look at how clever our little possums are! These last few weeks we have been learning about our colours and what better way to introduce the various members of the community into the program than learning "I can sing a rainbow" using sign langauge. The Possums have done such an incredible job at remembering these actions after only learning the song for 1 week, and some of them even remember the words! You go guys

23.01.2022 Today we had the opportunity to engage in our local community, we decided to go to one of our local cafes for afternoon tea with our Schoolies!!! A special treat to finish off the week!! We had milkshakes and donuts and talked about how these are sometimes food and next time we come we will choose something different, the schoolies decided on sandwiches... A big thank you to the team at GCM Camden for having us!! We all had an awesome time..

21.01.2022 What a treat the children at Scallywaggs had today!! We had a very special visit from the one and only EASTER BUNNY!! He left some very messy footprints behind but we forgive him because he also left us some delicious choccies! he had some very clever places to hide them too! And can you believe he even went to the toilet in one of our toy potties! We hope all the families at Scallywaggs have a safe and healthy Easter, well see you all again next week!

20.01.2022 What a race!!! All the children gathered in the kookaburras room this afternoon to watch the Melbourne cup on the screen projector! The children and educators were cheering on the horses as they galloped around the track. The teachers had written down who they think would win and Miss Chelsea took home the prize as she had chosen number 6! Good job Miss Chelsea

10.01.2022 A big well done to all those families who got involved with our crazy hair day today. It was so great to see all of the childrens colourful hair and all the effort that the families put into it! The children were so excited to see that Miss Tyla, Miss Erin and miss Misty also got involved and were laughing at their hair all day!

10.01.2022 A huge, huge, huge thank you to all those families who got involved today in our fundraiser for farmers suffering from the drought. We participated in horse races around the bike track, learnt how to bull ride and sang farm songs! Thanks to all your incredible donations we raised a whopping $107!!!! We still have a few trays of goodies left so if you didnt get a chance to be apart of the action today, you have the opportunity to donate tomorrow aswell. We want to raise as much as we can for our farmers!!! Thank you again to all our beautiful, amazing families!!

07.01.2022 We love the rain!! Not only because we need it so badly but because its perfect for experiments! The Possums were so excited when Miss Caitlin and Miss Erin surprised them with a very special activity. We added some food colouring to a sheet of paper and put it in the rain to watch all the colours combine and splash. The children were so excited! Its the simple things that bring us the most joy

05.01.2022 Today all of us at Scallywaggs are supporting Red Nose Day!! Lots of red activities and learning experiences are going to be so much fun today!! Hmmmmm and I hear Roast Lamb Strawberry Smoothies are on the menu today!!!

05.01.2022 The Kookaburras have been learning about the life cycle of sharks over the last couple of weeks as apart of their marine life program, they were very informative this morning and certainly taught me (Jody)a few things I didnt know about sharks. Ask them tonight and I am sure you will be very impressed of the information they will share with you!

04.01.2022 Feeding time in the kookaburra’s room with miss Patty’s 6 day old puppy!!! How CUTE! The children loved watching the puppy feed as they spoke to miss Pat about what puppies eat and drink. The kookaburra children were lucky enough to see the pup do a wee on miss Patty and then a tiny little number two! They thought this was hilarious!!

03.01.2022 Earlier this week, some very special people dropped off 10 chicken eggs so that the children could participate in a hatch and grow program! With the first week down and one week to go, we have 6 happy, healthy chicks and the children absolutely adore them! Each day, the children are given the opportunity to hold and pet the chickens. We discuss how important it is to be gentle with our little chicks and educators display the correct way to hold them to make sure they are nice and comfortable. Having these chicks in the service gives the children an excellent opportunity to have some responsibility when doing things such as cleaning out their cage and making sure their food and water is nice and full! We can't wait for the next week with our little babies!
