19.01.2022 VALE ~ Our dear friend and long time singer, Helena Alberg Tuominen passed away early Saturday (far left in photo). Varma kondoleanser till hela familjen. She was much loved in the Brisbane Scandinavian community, well liked by everyone she met and an essential member of the Scandinavian Singers choir. Helena was full of life, often laughing and rarely without a beautiful Swedish smile on her face. She was well known for her cheeky sense of humour and fantastic Swedish baking. Helena will be very missed at Scandinavian Festival, Jul events and at singing practice. We were all very blessed to have her in our lives. Rest in peace Helena, and thank you for good friendship. Vila i frid och tack för god vänskap.

04.01.2022 Well, no singing for a while in public. But you can still sing at home and in the shower and join in the conversation here What's your favourite Scandinavian tune that you love to hum or sing? Here's one of our favourites: the Spanish guitar and banjo trio rendition of the Icelandic classic Á Sprengisandi ~ 1964, Savanna Tríóið ~ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZCz9PxzBS8
