11.01.2022 Since 2012, the Scandinavian Festival has brought together the clubs of Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland and recently Estonia and Latvia to celebrate our food, music and culture with the people of Brisbane. Weve been thrilled to see the festival thrive and grow. The event is organised by a passionate team of volunteers, and as you can all imagine, its a mammoth task to pull off an event of this size. For 2020, we have therefore decided to take a break and instead focus on making the festival better than ever in 2021. Please keep following this page for opportunities to soak up some Scandi goodness throughout the year with events and other information from the individual clubs. Thank you everyone for your support so far, and we look forward to seeing everyone at a bigger and better festival in 2021!

10.01.2022 ZOOM SINGALONG @ 2:30pm Sunday 30 Aug Hello one and all, we are all experiencing lockdown, social distancing and generally a change of lifestyles in these current times. In particular, our Victorians are really feeling it harder than most and have experienced extraordinary hardship in the past few weeks, with a number of weeks yet to come. In recognition of our fellow Victorians, Kooskõlas have created a fun online event on Sunday 30 Aug 2.30pm for ~90mins, ...in which we will be singing songs and sharing stories. We will probably sing about 3 songs and we will be providing the song sheets and / or lyrics prior to the event. This event is ticketed - but will be FREE!!!! Book a spot here https://www.trybooking.com/BKZUC You will need to download the ZOOM app. The link to the event will be sent 24 hours prior to the event. To help you with the singalong, the committee will be based in Eesti Maja Sydney to assist with singing any parts. Or you can just sing melody. If you like, wear something Estonian. All welcome Any comments or suggestions can be sent to [email protected] Kind Regards, Pille Püvendi ~ Choir Liaison See more
