25.01.2022 Take advantage of this great opportunity to snap up a bargain with The Branding Office. The online shop is now heavily discounting event gear. In some cases there’s over 50% off the retail price. The Branding Office https://aocra-shop.mybigcommerce.com/

23.01.2022 UPDATE: For cancelled and postponed events: - AOCRA will refund all nominations for events covering the 30 day period from March 15 - April 14 that have been c...ancelled or postponed. - The preferred action is to postpone events so costs can be transferred to a later dates so as to incur minimal or no penalty. We understand this is not always possible. - Clubs hosting regattas who have incurred non refundable expenses and who have cancelled may request to withhold a portion of funds to cover these costs. - The association can assist and write a letter to ensure deposits are returned due to unprecedented events beyond our control. - We recommend individuals cancel or change all travel plans for the next 3 months and rebook once new dates are announced. - The airlines have announced they will not charge any change or cancellation fees for a period of time. Please check directly with your carrier and take action now. Our goal is to pause, take swift action to minimise the impact. Once we are out of the danger zone, we will recalibrate and deliver the best events ever. Great work and collaboration had continued during this challenging time. We are incredibly grateful for the positive attitude and overwhelming support behind these difficult decisions and will endeavour to keep you informed as information comes to hand.

12.01.2022 22 March 2020 COVID-19_UPDATE _CANCELLATION - 2020 IVF World Sprints - Hilo, Hawaii Due to global effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the International Va’a Fede...ration (IVF) and Hawaiian Canoe Racing Association (HCRA) have come to the difficult and mutual decision to cancel the 2020 IVF World Elite and Club Sprint Championships scheduled for Hilo, Hawaii, in August 2020. The IVF World Sprint Championships held every 2 years is a highlight on our international paddling calendar, and the 2020 event already had entries from 21 countries. The decision to cancel was a very difficult one, and we are very disappointed to have to do so. However, it was done taking into consideration (but not limited to) the following: - The unknown timelines that we are all facing in terms of travel restrictions and the impact of life as we know it; - The overall health and safety of our global paddling community; - In particular, our Pacific Island member countries who are less equipped to deal with a health crisis and face unique challenges in their healthcare systems; - Member countries already heavily impacted by COVID-19; - The risk to our host; HCRA, the people of Hilo and the State of Hawaii in general. As an international federation, we have an obligation to ensure the safety of our membership and act in their best interests and in that of the sport of Va’a. We acknowledge and recognise the amount of work that HCRA and in particular, their local organizing committee, have done in preparation for the August event. In addition, how much they wanted to welcome the global paddling ohana to Hilo Bay. Having done everything possible, they are now faced with impossible circumstances. In this difficult and uncertain time that we are all facing, it is fortunate to know that our paddling community is strong and it is important that we look out for each other. Please make sure that you are all adhering to your country’s COVID-19 guidelines and practice physical distancing wherever possible. Should you have any questions, please direct them to [email protected] Website: www.ivfiv.org

12.01.2022 A guide for paddlers and Social Distancing: If you can reach someone with your paddle you're a bit too close. Help protect the vulnerable within the community and slow the spread of Covid-19 but definitely get out and keep paddling on your single crafts with your paddling family
