22.01.2022 Sample delicious Ethiopian cuisine at the Wollongong Twilight Markets this Friday night! Selemawit, our Ethiopian caterer will have a variety of traditional meat and vegetarian meals available, like the national Ethiopian dish wat. Wat is a spicy stew, served with injera, a large sourdough flatbread. Meals are enjoyed by tearing off a piece of injera and using it to scoop up the wat. Come along and delight your senses!

22.01.2022 To all of our loving supporters, customers and the broader community, SCARF Catering would like to thank you for all of your energies, efforts and compassion over the past two years. This month marks the end of our two year pilot program for a traditional cuisine catering service. We will keep you posted about events that we are planning to celebrate the achievements of this project. We are currently working on evaluations, ways forward for the future and how best to support... the evolving needs of our wonderful traditional cuisine caterers. Over the next three months SCARF Catering will not be overseeing any new catering requests. However, we will be helping to facilitate the final stages in creating independent and sustainable businesses for each of our caterers. Watch this space and our website for more information on how to further support our individual caterers!!

For an unforgettable event book the fantastic choir and/or traditional cuisine catering for your next function or get-together. They are sure to delight!

19.01.2022 Feature Caterer of the week: Hat Zaw Variety Rice. Houping comes from the Chin region of Myanmar (Burma). His food is a fusion of traditional Burmese culture and Malaysian style noodles. Houping learnt to cook noodles after moving to Malaysia and working as a kitchen hand. His food combines Burmese flavours with Asian cooking techniques to offer an unique food experience and cultural journey to the Illawarra. 07.01.2022 So proud to be attending our lovely Burmese caterers' citizenship ceremony today!! I have watched them give so much to our local community since their arrival and I could not be happier for them to be formally recognised as Australians. CONGRATULATIONS to the Hat Zaw family!
