Trilogy (or three stone) engagement rings are a meaningful way to celebrate your and your fiancee’s past, present, and future together. In most trilogy designs, the centre stone is larger, with smaller diamonds or gemstones set either side. Having three stones means the ring stands out, and will cover most of your finger. There’s nothing worse than deciding on a gorgeous engagement ring, only to find out later that you won’t be able to create the wedding stack you want, because your engagement ring won’t fit a wedding band. If you’re not sure what kind of stack you/your partner wants, it’s best to make sure your engagement ring will be able to take a flat wedding band, when the time comes.... The flat bridge, upswept shoulders, and parallel shank of this ring mean it will accomodate almost any style of wedding band! See more

20.01.2022 How unique should your engagement ring be? This is something a lot of couples wonder about. I can totally understand wanting a design which will stand out, that will also stand the test of time, and be loved forever. My advice is to pick one or two special features, and keep the rest of your design simple. The special features might be a unique coloured gem as the centre-stone, some hand engraved detail, or a hexagon halo, like this beautiful ring pictured.... One or two unique design elements will mean your ring is one-of-a-kind, and a reflection of your personality. Sounds like the perfect ring to me! 15.01.2022 Here’s a step-by-step of how I made the men’s engagement ring in my last post! I roll the rose gold down to the correct profile, and bend it into a ring shape, cutting the ends at the correct size. I solder the ends together, and file way at the inside edge to create a comfort fit.... I set the diamond, and add the matte finish with a piece of scotch-brite. And that’s how it’s done! 13.01.2022 Learn how I made these beautiful green sapphire earrings! These earrings were for a client’s 45th wedding anniversary. I always feel so grateful that I get to make pieces to mark such special occasions. Sapphires come in so many gorgeous colours (not just blue), and this pair particularly, looked different in every light. If you’re looking for a coloured gemstone that is hard enough for daily wear, and beautifully refractive, a sapphire is probably your best bet! ... ...Or, possibly a spinel, I’m a huge fan of those, too. These kinds of settings can be used to make rings and necklaces as well, and can be set with any kind of diamond or gemstone. Get in touch if you’d like something made! This ring could also be made with a coloured gemstone, such as a sapphire! I can think of so many gorgeous colour combinations for this design. ...
