25.01.2022 Hi Team, In classic 2020 style, the cold room and freezer at our cooking facility has broken down today. Unfortunately this means we are forced to postpone this weekends cook up as we are unable to keep the ingredients and meals at an appropriate food-safe temperature. As soon as we know when the cold room is back up and running we will set a new date. So sorry for any inconvenience this will cause for those of you who planned to be there today and/or tomorrow.

Scarlett May, without you, this organisation would not exist. While we would give absolutely anything to have you back in our arms, we are grateful that we can honour you every single day blessing others in your name. Missing you today more than most, baby doll.

19.01.2022 Thank you too all our volunteers who were able to make it out this weekend to help. It was a big one. We made just over 1200 meals this month to be delivered to the hospitals for families of chronic and critically ill kids.

17.01.2022 Last Friday we had the absolute honour of being part of the launch of the Children's Health Queensland Bereavement Service. With the support of our donors and together with Children's Hospital Foundation, we were able to co-fund the role of Bereavement Coordinator in Qld Childrens Hospital. The amazing, Dr Leigh Donovan was appointed this role and what she and her team have created is so much more than we could ever have hoped for. Seeing this come together has been such a p...rivilege. To know that from now and into the future, families who lose a child (or who have lost a child in the past) at the Children's Hospital will receive the support they need, if and when they want it is so very overwhelming. We want to extend a thank you to our network of supporters, to the CHQ Bereavement Team, to the families who have been involved in guiding the development of the program and our co-fund partners, Children's Hospital Foundation. You have all contributed to making this dream a reality. 16.01.2022 In light of the current pandemic, we have been asked to increase our meal supply to the hospitals to cater for the increase in potential patients and the decrease of available alternative food sources for parents of sick kids in hospital. Therefore our next cook up has been moved forward to NEXT WEEKEND! Pulling the cook up together a week earlier will be a challenge particularly with many in isolation. If you are free (and healthy) we would love to have you along to help ...out. The kitchens are fairly large, however keeping in mind that the cook up will be an indoor gathering we will need to make sure that we know numbers of volunteers who intend to come along so please make sure that you send us a direct message letting us know if you can be there. 15.01.2022 Hi Team. Thanks all who volunteered to help out this weekend. Unfortunately, due to the announcement this morning about the State-Wide Lockdown until 6pm Monday, we are needing to postpone our cook up. We will notify everyone regarding the new date shortly.

15.01.2022 We had the pleasure of taking a tour of Queensland Parliament with Joe Kelly MP as we collected the first generous batch of meals from the amazing chefs! We want to say a massive thanks to Joe Kelly MP and the Parliamentary Staff for their generous support. We were then blessed to have Bidfood Australia provide a truck and staff to transport the food safely to the incredible kitchens we are very, very fortunate to use at Coorparoo Secondary College and ICE RTO 40748. Thanks... so much for your ongoing support guys! We look forward to continuing to work with Children's Hospital Foundation, our financial sponsors and our community as we try to do our part to help families in need.

03.01.2022 I recently had the pleasure of meeting the family and friends of this gorgeous little angel. Precious Aubrey Elizabeth passed away on 3rd August this year from the same condition that took our Scarlett from this world. Aubreys family and friends presented us with a donation in her honour to help continue our work supporting families of chronic and critically ill kids. Its due to the generosity, strength and courage of people like this that keep our charity running. ... Thank you to Megan and James Feggans, their family and friends and to the amazing community of @KCSandgate Kids Capers Childcare (Sandgate) for rallying together to make a donation in memory and honour of precious Aubrey Elizabeth.
