25.01.2022 During the past 7 years, Scenic Warmbloods was fortunate enough to have the support of some great people who continued to work with Briadonis S (Byalee Briar x Byalee Gwyneth). This gelding grew from a tiny little colt into an amazing boy who impressed many people with his good looks, trainability and presence.

23.01.2022 2020 was to be the relaunch of my boutique horse stud, Scenic Warmbloods, est 2011. Unfortunately the plan to give the young horses some experience and bring the seasoned back to the competition ring will have to be suspended temporarily. I cannot believe that 7 years has flashed by and Scenic Warmbloods had no choice but to stand still due to many of life’s hurdles. These were very difficult times, especially facing the worst drought the property had seen, then to turn aroun...d and be in the path of raging fires was very confronting. It was incredibly surreal packing the ‘necessities’ and being prepared to leave our home. Through these difficult times many people certainly showed their true colours. All the support and assistance was overwhelming, especially the offers to relocate horses, including a stallion. Thankfully a relocation was not needed as the timing of the rain was perfect, the fires were finally extinguished however then came the floods. Life did go on as it usually does, the drought had broken, the tanks and dams were full and the grass began to amazingly grow out of the barren soil. There was a buzz in the air that prompted a return to what was and what could be in the future. The horse gear was dusted off and a hive of activity commenced, the horses weren’t overly impressed with the interruption to their extended holiday but I believe that they have been persuaded that it is good to get out and about again. Now is the next hurdle in the story, the COVID-19 has shaken the prospects of the relaunch BUT I remain positive that this upturned world will come back to some normality in the near future. We at Scenic Warmbloods are determined to make the most of the year, there is lots of time to get on top of those jobs that ‘I will get to later’, catch up on horse articles or educational literature, horse training, rider fitness and when the time comes competitive riding again. We also look forward to the 2020/2021 breeding season where we plan to stand Capregardez S, commencing from late September (pending of the COVID-19 situation). There is a lot to look forward to, amidst these difficult times. I believe the best medicine through the hard times have been my horses, it is such a privilege that a horse will trust us and allow us to form a special bond with them. These beautiful creatures have so much life in them and offer us lessons we did not know we needed. Watch these majestic animals being themselves in the paddock, expressing their little antics or just giving you a nuzzle, they are a great reminder to march forward one hurdle at a time. Please take care and remain positive for the future.

07.01.2022 Poetic Show (Show A Heart/ Poiym), a new face to the mare group. She carries the great TB jumping lines of Star Kingdom, Sir Tristram (Sir Ivor), Teddy, Northern Dancer and The Tetrarch just to name a handful.
