25.01.2022 Please note the Scenic Rim is one of the local government areas Queensland Fire and Emergency Services - QFES has declared a local fire ban from tomorrow until Wednesday. If possible, avoid activities that may cause sparks including mowing lawns and use of power tools. Stay safe.

07.01.2022 Queensland Police Service has reported a massive landslide on Tamborine Mountain Road as you can see in the pictures in their post below. It is expected that the road will be closed for some time so residents will need to find an alternative route to travel between Canungra and Tamborine Mountain. Stay safe Scenic Rim.

04.01.2022 CHANGE TO COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS FOR SCENIC RIM COMMUNITIES The latest advice from the Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk MP this morning has seen new restrictions introduced for our region, and other regions in SEQ, in response to the latest cases of COVID-19 in South East Queensland. In the Scenic Rim region, the numbers of people at private and public gatherings has reduced to no more than 10 people, unless there is a COVID Safe Plan in place. This includes events in your home a...nd also in our public spaces including parks. Visits to aged care facilities are also restricted at this time.
