Pied Butcherbird and Blue Faced Honey Eater, this guys only got one eye but showing his good side. There must be around 10 in the family so a good place to see them if your unfamiliar

25.01.2022 Another visitor to the scenic rim, Canungra. The Dollar Bird, I love it when they fly and flash the silver pound under their wings, magic.

21.01.2022 If you been visiting the scenic rim now or in the past we love you to share any great shots of birds and nature.

21.01.2022 Brown Goshawk at Canungra. A hard bird to get a shot of. Had thought in intially it was a baza but no crest and though very similiar to a sparrow hawk pretty sure its not, that guys still eluding me

19.01.2022 Pretty sure its a brown quail but happy to be corrected. Saw this guy taken out ad the flock flew across a busy road from grass patch to grass patch. They came out of no where and didn't get the height to dodge vehicles. I stoped to pick him up and at least get him off the road amd return him to earth

19.01.2022 First Rufous Whistler of the season, just beautiful. Location - Ferney Glen

15.01.2022 Location: Canugra Still a few drongos around, their call sounded so similar to the forest kingfisher. Must be heading home soon.

12.01.2022 First Rose Robin of the season, they are so beautiful. Canungra, Tuckers Retreat.

11.01.2022 Eastern Whipbird - Mt Tamborine. Dont often get a good shot of theses guys as they move so fast and stay hidden but this one sat out for me today.

10.01.2022 Can't beat the autumn colors on the mountain

09.01.2022 See what guest has made it home in our neighbors garden. Buff-banded Rail, Mt Tamborine.

09.01.2022 Grey Goshhawk in Canaungra, beautiful birds unless your a chicken owner and not often see in the open.

07.01.2022 We are so fortunate in the Scenic Rim to have the beautiful Tawny Frogmouths. In saying that we loose so many with speeding cars especially at dusk and dawn when they are active. This guys another casualty left by the roadside i took home to bury. Please people slow down just a bit as the number of pademelons, pretty face wallabies, swamp wallabies and bird life dead is getting crazy and its only when they are gone we will realise just how lucky we where to have them

07.01.2022 A large flock of galas taking off at Canungra.

07.01.2022 Another casuality of the mountain, people speeding being the main issue especially early morning workers. More people, less birds and animals

04.01.2022 Golden Whistler - Ferney Glen Love the whistlers, both golden and rufous around at the moment.

02.01.2022 Everyone's looking for respite from the rain at the moment. Some locals have a rest on our deck

02.01.2022 Scarlet Honeyeaters feeding on jacaranda at Ferny Glen.

02.01.2022 Large Billed Scrub Wren 18/12/19 Tuckers Retreat, Canungra.
