24.01.2022 VALE GEORGE THOMAS. George Thomas, one of the most senior Taekwondo men in Australia passed away today aged 76 from a long ill...ness. George was a founding member of the WTF in NSW starting to train in the mid 1960s and went on to then train a huge number of Black Belts who represented their state and country. He was Coach of the very successful Australia Team at the 1976 Asian Championships, Melbourne and pioneered Taekwondo in the early years throughout NSW. He is remembered very fondly as a fair but tough instructor with a great sense of humour and a love of life.
