25.01.2022 Re posting w pics this time ... Andy Lewis self catered at the cellar door, did a wonderful job with his bbq Cajun chicken & and salads. The wines were matched expertly. Lovely afternoon Andy, Michelle & Andrew, good food, good wine and great company.

24.01.2022 First Ute load of my 2019 GREENOCK Shiraz. Finally the Mickster has sourced some Greenock Shiraz from just south of the village. Not as big as the wine from my Belvidere vineyard, but has a delightful light, spicey quality. Labels should be organised this week and hopefully ready for sale in about 3 weeks.

24.01.2022 Great to see so many winelovers from NSW over the last couple of weeks, had a good laugh with Jamie & Andrew.

23.01.2022 The Scotty's came to town (and a couple of Aussies). Braved the 42 heat! What a delightful group.

21.01.2022 Two good old German boys, Claus the pimp from Hamburg & Fritz von Modra from Wittenberg at the Greenock Brewers wonderful Octoberfest last weekend. Wunderbar!!

19.01.2022 Splint mowing the grass at 90. In true Barossa style he refused any assistance. Still a real athlete, very proud of the old bastard. Drinking Schadenfreude Shiraz gives one strength & longevity.

19.01.2022 More self-catering. Sue had a lovely birthday party last Sunday, beautiful, tasty platters, enjoyed by all. "Farmer Wehr" brought his best joke book with him.

18.01.2022 As is well known, the Mickster "don't get out much", but this week the Mickster made it to the State of Origin. What a hoot. Go the Maroons! The second half was amazing.

17.01.2022 The 2018 was bottled last Friday and promises to be a fantastic vintage. The Mickster had a day off yesterday (well deserved) and went to the local football grand final. Great day and Congratulations to all those involved in organising the event, Mick Brien and crew. The Freeling oval has never looked better, so well done the Freeling Football Club. Also, Congratulations to the premiership winning teams & Association medal winners. I don't get out much, so made sure I had a great day.

15.01.2022 This is a bit late, but l haven't forgotten the "Lady Lions" and their annual pilgrimage to the Greenock Village. Jane seems to be enjoying her little Ado's Fort. It was fantastic to catch up. See you next year when you make the long trek up from Gawler.

13.01.2022 Over the weekend the Mickster had a go at making a beer bread, with strong Greenock links, starting with Laucke's Barossa Sourdough Rye. Threw the mix in the bread making machine, followed the instructions with the only change that of substituting the water with Greenock Brewers Victorville Pale Ale. Topped it with salted olives from Nain and cracked pepper. Went beautifully with an aged cheddar, Cornucopia olive oil, a Victorville Pale Ale and Schlüter Wines Schadenfreude Shiraz.

13.01.2022 Had a real Schadenfreude moment a couple of Friday's ago. The cellar door was at covid capacity when the news came through that Trump had contracted covid-19! The cheering and guffawing was deafening. Sales of Schadenfreude Shiraz went through the roof as did the googling of "Schadenfreude". Of course we all wish him and his family a speedy recovery.

10.01.2022 Forget the AFL! How good was that performance from the high flying Eagles last week! It doesn't get much better than that magnificent second quarter. Break out the Cuban cigars and the Sophies Sparkling.

10.01.2022 The tradition continues Christmas morning at Schlüter Wines CD. Wonderful morning thanks to all, especially Trish and Michael for the nibbles. In a tough year it was a nice little celebration.

09.01.2022 Nice to see retired Pastor Detlev & his lovely wife Phyllis last Sunday. Popped in after doing a little touring in their new Fiat sports car. Very nice machine.

08.01.2022 The gang: Slapper, Higgo, Mickster, Colin & DINGO.

06.01.2022 Annette, on tour with "Barossa Grange Tours is admitted to the sacred order of the Buffalo, enjoying a 2010.

01.01.2022 The Mickster has lapsed into temporary insanity once again, selling Sophie's Sparkling for $14.99 this Thursday 31st from 2pm to 5pm ONLY. A New Year's eve special like no other to see 2020 well and truly out!
