25.01.2022 CHANGE THE TONE OF YOUR HOME FOR UNDER $7 . . I discovered some items the other afternoon, to cheer up the home a bit. .... I thought I might start adding some thrifted hidden gems that I’ve found along the way. . I haven’t alway enjoyed thrifting, but I have always enjoyed finding a good bargain, as well as something that is a little more unique. . I had some photo projects I started doing a few years back where I needed some specific items. So I tried the thrift stores. . I gradually discovered the quality and range of items present and was impressed at the hidden gems that were to be found, with a little effort. . During lockdown, I spent some time time at an older relative’s and refurbished a small dusty room and made it a bit more presentable. . I only used recycled and preloved items apart from a mattress (made enormously comfortable by adding an oversized feather-down topper). . It’s quite astounding how quickly a space can be done up even when you have a small budget and limited timeframe. But she pulled herself together and got on with things. .... I had taken up an inspiration challenge, in conjunction with Bella Brides and Tanja. .
