Running this survey will help our school understand parents’ and carers’ perspectives on their child’s experience at school. 19.01.2022 National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children’s Day is our national day dedicated to celebrating our children. Children’s Day is a time Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and communities and all Australians, celebrate the strengths and culture of our children. Students spent time reflecting on the importance of this day and engaged in meaningful activities about the different cultures present at SPS.

17.01.2022 This week, students planted vegetables and flowers as part of a grant for our outdoor area. Students enjoyed learning about a variety of plants and how to plant them.

16.01.2022 1/2A have been exploring time! We are building our class calendar with dates that are special to us. Some events change dates each year and we are researching when they occur this year! We are also investigating changes in transport over the years. We loved looking at the photos of the old Schofields station and trying to figure out what the mystery item was used for!

09.01.2022 Starting on Monday the 14th of September, a mini fundraiser will be held for the Year 6 Graduation and Formal. Old SPS sports jerseys will be sold for a $2 donation on the artificial grass from 8:45-9:10am. These uniforms have been a huge part of SPS memorable history. We would like to pass this piece of history to members of our community to remember these uniforms for future generations. Limited quantity available- Nygel, Kaiden, Jason, Vanessa (5/6C)

05.01.2022 Schofields Public School was non-operational for on-campus learning today, Wednesday 26 August 2020, as a precautionary measure pending confirmation of a COVID-19 test result. The COVID-19 results for the person concerned are still pending. The school will remain non-operational tomorrow, Thursday 27 August 2020, for the on-site attendance of staff and students while we await the results. The NSW Department of Education and NSW Health have been working closely to ensure the h...ealth and safety of all students and staff is maintained. 05.01.2022 What a busy day at SPS! Stage 3 students had a visit from SES volunteers to compliment the PDHPE program on emergencies. Students K-6 also participated in a cricket clinic where they practised their throwing and catching skills.

05.01.2022 1/2A have been comparing past and present technology and the effect it has on their lives. Students churned butter by hand to compare how changes in technology saves time and makes hard jobs easier.

01.01.2022 1/2A have been learning about progressive brainstorming as they think of adjectives to describe life in the 1900s. They have also been investigating the properties of materials and made oobleck, a non-Newtonian fluid (a liquid that behaves like a solid when under pressure).
