22.01.2022 We have had a number of parents & Principals report that their understanding is that Brass instruments are exempt from the Department of Educations ban on 'wind instruments'. This is not true. The confusion caused by this phrase 'Woodwind/wind instruments' has been widespread, from parent to School Principals (as evidenced on last nights Drum episode). ... We do not agree with the decision to ban bands, but we do feel that everyone needs to understand what the Department of Education is attempting to communicate. Please see below the response from the DoE.
