18.01.2022 Eight new recruits are ready to ‘paw-trol’ the community as the NSW Police Force welcomes its new police puppies. The newest canine members of the force four... males and four females form the ‘B’ litter and were born on Saturday 9 May 2020. The boys have been named Bluey, Bonus, Bruno and Bane and the girls have been called Bailey, Bounty, Bindi and Bibi. The Dog Unit, formed in 1932, is the largest police dog unit in Australia with more than 100 police officers, nine civilian staff and more than 100 police dogs. The names for the puppies were chosen from within the Dog and Mounted Police Command as it is the first litter to be born since the unit merged with the Mounted Unit on Monday 24 February 2020.

School Liaison Police are Police Officers who work with high schools to reduce youth crime, violence and anti-social behaviour. School Liaison Police are NSW Police Officers who work with high schools to reduce youth crime, violence and anti-social behaviour through a range of school intervention strategies, educational programs and local relationships which model respect and responsibility... SLPs are responsible for forging and maintaining links with all high schools throughout NSW. These officers develop and present programs in conjunction with teaching staff and act as a central point of contact on police, community and school issues. SLPs may provide information, support and guidance on security, intervention strategies and child protection matters relating to the school as well as other issues relating to safety and community responsibility.

06.01.2022 So another day of physical and psychometric testing at Parramatta. Big group today with around 80 applicants attending. Still some disappointing results for the... beep test......YOU MUST BE ABLE TO RUN AT LEAST 5 kilometres and reach the MINIMUM of 7.1 in the beep test. Again, if youre lodging your application make sure you can pass the tests. 04.01.2022 Great work to PD Marshall and his handler who helped track down these three people who were arrested and charged in connection with a stabbing at Newtown early ...Sunday 6th September 2020. ************************************************************* Three teenagers have been charged after a woman was allegedly stabbed in Sydneys Inner West overnight. Officers have been told a female off-duty police officer stopped to assist a distressed teenage girl on Alice Street, Newtown, about 1am this morning (Sunday 6 September 2020), when she was confronted by a group of teenagers. During the incident the off-duty Sergeant suffered a stab wound to her torso. She was treated on scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in a serious but stable condition. Officers from Inner West Police Area Command commenced an investigation. Three teenagers were arrested and taken to Newtown Police Station where the following charges were laid: A 15-year-old boy from Randwick was charged with reckless wounding, possess prohibited drug, and enter enclosed land not prescribed premises without lawful excuse. He was refused bail and will appear in a childrens court tomorrow (Monday 7 September 2020). A 15-year-old boy from Punchbowl was charged with enter enclosed land not prescribed premises without lawful excuse. He was given conditional bail to appear in a childrens court on Monday 21 September 2020. A 14-year-old girl from Marrickville has been charged with common assault. She has been refused bail and will appear in a childrens court tomorrow. The woman is a serving NSW Police Officer attached to a specialist command. She was off-duty at the time of the incident.
