25.01.2022 With astrology I’ve always had an interest in Venus, the planet of creativity, love and abundance, as it is my ruling sign. So I took note when Venus went retro...grade on the 25th of July. This retrograde period lasts until the 6th September. I love turning to our cosmic guides in the sky for guidance and I find the planets always have so much to offer us! The first thing Venus does for us is take off our rose coloured glasses. She helps you to see the truth in situations, that you may have been denying, or where you were betraying yourself or others. With the rose tint gone, your negative ego will be tempted to go straight into judgement and criticism and this will only create conflict. Venus is about harmony but retrograde it is not about harmony at any cost. It is a golden opportunity to bring more light into aspects of your life, relationships and your being. It is an ideal time to take more space to reflect, meditate and connect with your spiritual self. Take a break and retreat for a while, recharge in beautiful environments or get some extra pampering. Spend more time in solitude creating, or get close to mother earth. Maybe have more space from partners or family than typical or do more catching up with the important women in your life. This is all healthy and rewarding in a Venus retrograde period. ‘Go slow in Beauty’ is the retrograde Venus call. Be kind. Be compassionate. Be of service. Have yours and others best interests at heart and you will find Venus will reward you in wonderful and unexpected ways with greater freedom, abundance, beauty and harmony. If you persist in overworking, pushing too hard and stressing because the universe is showing you a better but unexpected way, than what you had planned, you will suffer. A productive passage through this cycle is to turn to your higher self and heart for guidance. Look through your own wise and compassionate lens at situations or people you may be judging or negating. How could this person or situation be a gift? Rest assured if Venus is involved there will most certainly be a gift! Love and gratitude will lead to the blossoming of the ‘flower’ whereas judgement and fear could result in something very special leaving your life. The Goddess of service and abundance says take a step back and consider what is truly precious to you and then prioritise and nurture it. There’s one number, obviously, which is your actual birth date, but then there are other things that can age people, like not getting to do what they love. I’m basically a child. I don’t have any of the trappings that I think a lot of people my age have. I feel pretty cool about it. My life is better in the past 10 years. I’m a happier person and more myself and everything about it is better, so if I were to look at age and go Damn you age its your fault!, it doesn’t really make sense. Looking back, if I had to come up with a life motto, it would be just don’t be a dickhead. It’s better to be kinder than to cause more suffering on the planet. That’s my tip: just don’t be a fucking dick. Be better. "

Both personally and globally we will look back on 2014 as a pivotal year for humanity...the year where more of us than ever before, break the ego chains binding our souls and place our higher self firmly in the drivers seat of our heart. The key that unlocks the door is your intuition!

14.01.2022 HERE'S A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE ON THE NEW YEAR No doubt you’ve already received a bunch of emails urging you to ‘set intentions for the new year’, ‘make it you...r best year yet’, that there’s ‘no time to waste’ and ‘you’ve just got to do it NOW NOW NOW!’ Have you noticed how social media is rife with adrenal urgency, especially at the commencement of the new year, and whilst it’s always great to set intentions and goals, is that really what you need to be doing right now? I’d like to offer a word of calm in response to rushing in and implementing the new and getting intensely into it all again I’ve always been someone who has taken into account the planetary alignments. I don’t let it rule my life but from where I sit it makes sense to have the cosmos on your side supporting your most cherished dreams and your best intentions. And over the years it’s been so beneficial for me to do this. It creates much more opportunity for synchronicity and divine timing. So interestingly on the 2nd day of the new year, mercury went retrograde, and will be so for the next 3 weeks. Being so close to the new year it’s giving us a hint as to what is going to be the path to success this year. Slow and steady This is the perfect time to go within and really ponder what is most important to you without locking yourself in. To do some real soul searching, to rest, read, recuperate, declutter, have fun, get creative, and take it slow. These periods often are coupled with a desire to retreat or just do less, so don’t be alarmed if you feel like resting a lot more. Its the perfect time for meditation and reflection in nature. It’s actually a great time to UNPLUG from virtual reality! And in fact I highly recommend it having done it recently myself. I promise you the world won’t collapse and it will all be there waiting for you when you get back! Engaging daily with virtual reality can disconnect us from our bodies and our Spirit. It also keeps your mind buzzing in beta brain waves which are the least beneficial for you. These brain waves accompany stress and keep us problem focused instead of solution oriented. So be brave and utilise these next few weeks to deeply connect with your body, creative soul and mother nature and to create as much simplicity as you can day to day. This year is going to be a slow build to a very very important year regarding your self worth and the ending of long term patterns of thinking and behaviour that do not serve you. It is not a year to do anything in half measures. Take your time to really do things properly, implement change thoughtfully and slowly, and know time is on your side. And above all else, LISTEN TO YOUR INNER VOICE. Do this and you will see your efforts of the past few years come to fruition in new and wonderful ways in 2016.
