25.01.2022 Oooh... Bubbly sourdough dough. I'll turn this into bread rolls after another 8 or so hours of fermentation. Slow food.

24.01.2022 Baby wipes are so bad for our planet. My sister is having a little one so I made these reusable baby wipes for her from 100% biodegradable cotton towelling. They will last for years and are pretty cute. I hope she likes them!

23.01.2022 Birthday treats for a sweet toothed friend!

23.01.2022 After a massive soap failure I'm happy that my nutty honey granola worked! What are you making on this gloomy Sunday?

23.01.2022 Geez growing your own carrots is so empowering! They're not super easy so when it works out you've got to savour each and every one. These three beauties are now in a low FODMAP stew bubbling away on our fire. A perfect, gut friendly Winter warmer.

21.01.2022 My beautiful Indonesian friend gifted me a big tub of ground Moringa leaves from her mother's garden. Nutritious, rich in antioxidants and good for inflammation. I make the powder into capsules and take one every day. The healing power of nature.

20.01.2022 I've unfolded my latest soap and I'm pretty happy with the results! They look and smell gorgeous!

16.01.2022 The first layer of raw wool fibre for my evening of felting! I'm thinking a felt winter jacket....

12.01.2022 After my hot process failure this morning (I was being careless), I successfully made a cold process soap. These will not be ready in time for Xmas. Oh well. They are still beautiful.

12.01.2022 My first gluten free pie crust. It looks good! Not sure how it will taste.... Quiche filling is made from mostly home grown ingredients - Warrigal greens, homemade smoked bacon from our pigs, spring onion tops, Silverbeet, eggs from our chickens, salt that we harvested ourselves from the salt lake and sage. The cheese was bought. I'm on a low fodmap diet for the foreseeable future due to chronic digestive issues. Tough, but I'm trying to adapt!

06.01.2022 I'm drying fresh lemon balm leaves on our fireplace for use in teas and ground up as an ingredient in my homemade heartburn relief capsules. Lemon balm is easy to grow and may help with digestion, anxiety, PMS and inflammation. It's bright lemon flavour is delicious too!

05.01.2022 Every domestic god and goddess needs a good set of tools. Here's my new measuring set. Handmade in Tasmania and not plastic! Aren't they gorgeous!? #waxonwood

04.01.2022 My apple cider vinegar gummies are super cute, super tasty and super good for you! Made with homemade raw honey, homemade apple cider vinegar, homemade elderberry syrup and organic grass fed gelatin.

04.01.2022 A homegrown brekky. By us or our friends. It doesn't get any better than this.

04.01.2022 Homemade pastrami made from our friend"s grass fed cow! It is unbelievably tasty and a world away from the supermarket variety. Cooked for 10.5 hours so it melts in your mouth!! Recipe from www.recipetineats.com.

03.01.2022 This. Now more than ever.

03.01.2022 I am loving my home made Amaro right now. Bitter, herbal and slightly sweet. It's lovely over ice and a great way to end a stressful week.

01.01.2022 Sometimes you need a day off. #daydrinking #happybirthdaycath #drinklocal #holgatebrewhouse
