20.01.2022 Hi Parents, Guardians & Jammers RE: covid-19 After talking to the leadership teams at W.P.S, W.E.P.S & St Patricks today I have decided to cancel all lessons for the remainder of term 1 and wait to see how we will progress forward in term 2. Over the next few days I will email you lessons (PDF) for kids to work on over the holidays.... If schools do close for a period of time an online option for learning will be made available to all School of Jammin students at a discounted rate. This could also be extended to providing free online lessons for a period in the circumstance of school closure and the option to rent an instrument for home use with payments deferred to help families out. We will keep you updated as we learn more in the coming weeks. For any lessons missed in term 1 a credit will be applied to your next account. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any further questions, I'm always here to help. I believe music can have a role in helping us through this period and the School of Jammin is committed to playing our part. Cheers Mick School of Jammin [email protected] In the mean time...check out this busker rockin the loop pedal to a classic Dylan/Hendrix number...

20.01.2022 Can’t wait till we’re back out watching live music...enjoyed this from Powderfinger last night, live on YouTube, in support of some great causes... https://youtu.be/r_V5jNSYjAs

17.01.2022 One of the best music lessons I had as a kid was when Australian guitar gun Tommy Emmanuel came to Warrnambool in the 90's and gave a free clinic... I was memorised by his ability and I learnt all about the relationship between rhythm & melody... Who inspired you to learn an instrument?

11.01.2022 G'day Jammers We've been learning the Ray Charles classic "Hit the Road Jack" and using the songs musical ingredients to create our own version...love this take from the grade 1/2 boys at East Warrnambool P.S today!

09.01.2022 Gday Jammers During school closures we are offering families a free online Jammin Program to join in with at home...all you need is a guitar or keyboard To join email Mick at: [email protected] Lessons will commence after the Easter break. ... 09.01.2022 Little Richard 1938-2020 As a kid I loved watching old footage of early rock pioneers Little Richard & Jerry Lee Lewis pounding their pianos and thinking how much fun it would be to play in that style. Little Richard inspired countless artists over the years and rightfully holds a place as a rock'n'roll giant...check out his 1957 performance of Lucille

09.01.2022 At the School of Jammin we love to put our own take on songs we learn. I enjoyed this artists classical version of what was originally a heavy metal song by Metallica.

07.01.2022 Vale Bill Withers 1938-2020...my favorite from him "Use Me"

02.01.2022 Hi Jammers...with lessons on hold due to the move back to remote learning I thought this video from US family 'the Clarke's' might inspire some of our own family Jammin sessions at home...enjoy!
