18.04.2022 I just bought this book in the Kindle Version. It’s written by EdL Instructor Kate Sandel from the UK group. So far I have read the first little bit where Kate discusses the history of the French riding tradition. Once I am finished the book I will post a proper review but if you just can’t wait it was really quite inexpensive on Amazon for the electronic Kindle version!

14.04.2022 Our German colleagues are giving riding presentations at Equitana in Germany in April. These will be available to watch on YouTube.

10.04.2022 2022 Teachers Clinics in Australia Update Looks like the pandemic will continue to have a negative effect on our teacher training, our March 2022 course is cancelled but we hope to resume in August 2022 with Sylvia Stoessel. In the meantime happy riding and I hope you can make use of the Australian Legerete teachers to further develop your own skills.

30.03.2022 One of the rules of the Ecole de Legerete is Position before Action. These three photographs of EdL Licenced Teacher Edit Kappel shows three very different positions of the same horse, each is useful for the particular action the horse is being asked to perform. In normal times (no COVID) Edit Kappel travels to Australia to teach open clinics in Victoria, NSW, QLD and SA. Hopefully she will be able to teach here again in 2022.

25.01.2022 An interesting interview with Philippe Karl. Maybe I can see Sylvia riding in the background sometimes, so perhaps this is from the Switzerland group?

21.01.2022 If only I was taught all this when I was first learning to ride! Don’t forget to watch Philippe Karl’s free presentation on WeHorse tonight at 6pm GMT. This is UK time so for us in Melbourne it will be 5am Friday morning.

20.01.2022 What a clever and inspiring post! Turning theory into reality, one logical step at a time, a perfect way to describe the EdL.

19.01.2022 This picture is from EdL Instructor Irene Boss. The text is in German but the pictures are a great illustration of the phases of the shoulder in exercise.

18.01.2022 Philippe Karl discussing over flexion.

17.01.2022 Maybe you have seen this one before? Some great inspiration for setting your New Years Resolutions for 2021!

17.01.2022 Each day over the next few days we will be posting some information about each of the Licenced or Trainee Teachers who are part of the Melbourne Teachers Group. This might help you find someone to help you with your EdL education. Cate Carney - Trainee Teacher https://www.facebook.com/thethoughtfulrider

14.01.2022 This lovely picture of our Master Teacher Sylvia Stoessel is inspiring. Enjoy!

13.01.2022 Last night I stayed up until 2am Melbourne time (! dedication right there) to watch Philippe Karl talk about "From behind, over the back and through the poll" for WeHorse. This morning they have sent me a link to the "replay" I hope that if you click through on the link below you will be able to see it :) I hope you enjoy it! At the end there is a Q&A, I was lucky to have my question about the historical precedence for Action-Reaction answered by PK. ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g2iZeojV3Bo&feature=emb_logo
