21.01.2022 During this time is important to understand that children will absorb the chaos of the world and many will feel displaced by the disruption to their "normal lives". Social connections and interactions between school aged children is a big part of their lives, so during this time it's important to not only care and nurture their formal education but also their emotional needs. Mindfulness is a practice that we encourage within all our School's OUT services and we have made a g...uide for you follow along at home. It just takes a few minutes a day to encourage the children to focus on positive things right in front of them and not dwell on things they can not change. Mindfulness means paying full attention to something. It means slowing down to really notice what you're doing. Being mindful is the opposite of rushing or multitasking. When you're mindful, you're taking your time, you're in the current moment. We will be emailing this to all families for you print out at home if you would like!
