15.01.2022 Sport Integrity Australia have released a new resources kit for Secondary School Teacher. Some of the topics include "supplements, doping, match-fixing and ethics in sport". 09.01.2022 Interesting article raising the concern of the impact of learning on children during COVID-19 and how physical education can "support children’s all-round development".

02.01.2022 Karthi Muir is a young emerging visual artist and performer whose work includes acting, directing and acrylic art on canvas. He was born in Kalgoorlie Western Australia in 1996. Karthi's roots are in the Western Desert Aboriginal culture through his father but he is also closely connected to his mothers Hindu Tamil cultural influences. Karthi recently created a new design for the Aboriginal Artwork Middle Stump Initiative (AAMSI). The story to Karthi's design is that the name "Kalgoorlie" is derived from the Wongai word Karlkurla or Kulgooluh, meaning "place of the silky pears". The gold dots represents the gold rush hitting throughout the goldfields. School Sport Australia is supportive of the Aboriginal Artwork Middle Stump Initiative and its principle of acknowledgment and respect of First Australians through the sport of cricket.
01.01.2022 As mentioned in the past the School Sport Australia office likes to be aware of up and coming sports. Here is one that you maybe interested in coming out of School Sport NT - Canoe Basketball. The students are placed into teams with either 2 or 3 students per canoe with the teacher / umpire in a single canoe. The teacher throws up the ball, the kids paddle to get the ball and then have 5 seconds to throw it to a team member in another canoe. To get a goal the ball is thrown back to the teacher who is moving around the area. It has to come direct to the teacher they are not to paddle or reach for the ball. It sounds like a lot of fun. Check out some of the photos from School Sport NT - Barley Region.
