18.01.2022 Congratulations to Como Secondary College who defeated Shenton College 2-1 in the final of the Ross Meadows Shield (Year 7-9 Champion Schools Hockey) After a scoreless first half, Shenton opened the scoring through Finn Bell in the 39th minute, but Como managed to equalise less than one minute later through Ben Harrison. Como found their second and final goal in the 51st minute from a strike from the top of the circle from Harley Muir and managed to hang on until the full-t...ime buzzer. The win was Como's 6th since the competition name was changed in 2011. Much thanks to students Tom Keating (Duncraig SHS) and Mikaela Swart (Churchlands SHS) who officiated the game very professionally. Public education in Western Australia
