25.01.2022 COVID-19 and Booking Update The Schuss winter booking system will go back online today at 12 noon! Remember to log in first with your member number to access all three lodges and availability. There is plenty of space at Mt Buller if Falls Creek or Thredbo are booked out when you want to go.... We highly recommend doing your own research to ensure you understand the limitations being placed on tickets and activities at the resorts this year. Also be aware of the risks associated with the pandemic and factor them into your decision. We encourage you to download the COVID Safe App. Following a risk assessment there will be various changes and restrictions at the lodges ensuring guests and managers stay COVID safe with precautions and extra cleaning required, social distancing, staggered cooking and dining experiences. An additional COVID charge of $5 per person per day will be added to tariffs to cover costs of PPE and extra sanitising at all lodges. You will be required to bring your own doonas and pillows and wipe down hard surfaces before and after use. Children will need to be under parental supervision at all times to maintain control of cleaning protocols. Thredbo guests will have no access to the kitchen however a chef will provide dinner and breakfast for $30 per person per day. Further steps may need to be taken if additional directives are issued by the authorities. Guests displaying symptoms will be asked to get tested and isolate until results are known. If we encounter a positive occupant in the lodge it will lead to the lodge being closed for deep cleaning which will be a SIGNIFICANT inconvenience to everyone concerned. Most importantly please do not come to the lodge if you are feeling unwell. Remember if you cancel your booking you can keep 100% of your booking amount for later in the season or next year, otherwise you will receive a 95% refund. 13.01.2022 Dear Schuss Members, As with most organisations Schuss ski club has been caught short by the COVID 19 pandemic. The club Board has been working hard to plan for our lodges to open this season, however while the resorts have announced they will be opening, getting clear direction on how lodges like Schuss will operate has not been easy. At this stage, we can confirm the following:... - Lodges will open on June 29th - There will be significant changes to operating processes, and these are being developed in line with each jurisdiction in which we operate. Details will be communicated as soon as they are known. - It is likely that communal kitchens will not be available, and a way of supplying meals to members in a COVID-safe way is being developed - details to follow. It is likely that other communal facilities like drying rooms will not be available. - Should someone who is staying/has stayed at the lodge become infected, the lodge will have to go into lockdown until sanitised. It is imperative that members with bookings are aware of the risks as well as circumstances that will prevail at all Schuss lodges, and be prepared to fully cooperate to make this very abnormal season a success for all lodge members. In addition to the above, the Board has developed an Epidemic / Pandemic Plan which has been distributed to all members via email, and we ask that all members familiarise themselves with the details of this plan. Please note that as part of the plan, booking refunds will be net of any transaction fees and charges - i.e. which in the current scenario will be 95% of the amount paid for the booking. While the refund option is available to members who have made bookings, the club would really appreciate members rolling over their bookings to next year should they choose not to use the lodge this year, as the club has significant fixed costs that have to be met regardless. 05.01.2022 Hi Members, Thredbo: With the promise of more terrain opening up Thredbo resort has released a limited number of lift passes for 24 July - 31 August. For those with access to the Season Pass Holder discount there is also plenty of availability for the rest of the season. ... The in-house Thredbo chef (pictured) is cooking up a storm to the delight of guests for $30/person/day including dinner and breakfast. Please ensure you are fully aware of the new border closures and restrictions coming from Melbourne and Victoria into NSW. Falls Creek & Mt Buller: For those traveling to Falls Creek and Mt Buller please be mindful of the travel restrictions applicable to you and plan accordingly. We ask that you observe all our COVID safe conditions we have put in place and for the safety of our lodge managers and guests please do not come to our lodges if you are feeling unwell.
