24.01.2022 Uncovering relationship toxicity relationship Research on identifying toxic behaviours in romantic relationships. Toxic behaviour in relationships is far more common than you may think. Some toxic behaviours are obvious and clearly cross a line, but many toxic behaviours are more subtle and can fly under-the-radar.... Deakin University’s Science of Adult Relationships (SoAR) Lab are looking for individuals to take part in an online survey on romantic relationships that investigates relationship toxicity. Your responses will help us identify which questions are best suited for identifying the destructive and negative behaviours that can make relationships toxic. Although a major focus of the research is on negative and destructive relationship behaviours, the online survey also asks about positive relationship experiences and behaviours to help us identify key relationship strengths. You do not need to consider your relationship as negative or destructive to complete the survey as we are interested in the responses of the wider community. Most people take about 25-35 minutes to complete the survey. Your responses are completely anonymous and confidential and are not connected to your Facebook profile in any way. Eligible participants need to be aged above 18 years, fluent in English (i.e. reading and writing in English), and currently in a romantic relationship of at least 6months in duration.
