12.01.2022 Yesterday, the NSW Government announced that the Greater Sydney area, including Wollongong, commences a full lockdown until midnight on the 9th of July. While we are always devastated to have to cancel classes, SCIPA School of Dance has always committed to following the guidance of health officials and will be complying with the Government directive. We are fortunately entering into the school holidays so at this stage only those customers who have booked holiday camps, semi...nars, mock exams, troupe rehearsals, private lessons, acrobatic workshops and Princess tea parties will be affected. We will be postponing and rescheduling the mock exams, ballet intensives and private lessons, moving them into Term 3. The following evens have been canceled: - Acrobatic Workshop - Princess Tea Party - Troupe Rehearsal. These customers will be issued a refund. While we are in the Shoalhaven Region and are not in lockdown here, almost all of our teachers either live in and/or have worked in Wollongong/Sydney areas. It is for this reason all SCIPA school holiday events have been postponed or canceled. We can also confirm that the City of Wollongong Eisteddfod Troupe weekend has been postponed by the committee, a date is not confirmed or available yet. SCIPA will return to classes as soon as the NSW Government advises it is safe to do so. Stay safe everyone!

Starting in Term 4 Kelly will be teaching extension tap on Fridays for Level 6 and Level 7 students as well as private lessons and the New Ex Dancer Tap Class. Kelly's passion for the art form has seen her perform and study across Australia, Uni...ted Kingdom and America. Over the years, she has studied many styles of performing arts including lyrical, contemporary, jazz, tap, and musical theatre. With over 10 years of teaching experience, Kelly has been teaching and choreographing all styles of dance, with a particular passion for tap and commercial jazz. Throughout her career, Kelly has taught award winning troupe and soloist routines and received further training and tuition herself from many well renowned Australian and International teachers and choreographers. She is also Glenn Wood Tap trained with over 10 years of experience in the syllabus. Kelly’s passion to teach is indescribable and is ardent about developing student's interest, commitment and technique in dance and performance. She wishes for her students to achieve a sense of enjoyment and personal fulfillment from dance at all levels, as well as have the ability to partake in as many opportunities to benefit and enhance their performances skills as possible.
