22.01.2022 SCOAP Inc has been busy getting Essential Bags ready for those on the cusp of being homeless. These bags have all the essentials as an overnight or two night support bag with toiletries, food, activities for children, gloves, scarves, beanies and much more. These bags have been made with the support of DHS Funding and donations from the community. Through our No Interest Loan Scheme and Emergency Relief support available to the local community and surrounding areas, we work to empower people to engage in a safe, inclusive and connected community, educating our community to be financially proactive.

13.01.2022 Welcome to our new Scoap Inc facebook page. SCOAP Inc is now known as Sustainable Community Organisation Against Poverty Inc... Over the past year SCOAP has gone through many changes, one being the re-branding and redevelopment/growth to an organisation that has been supporting the community for some 30 years now. We continue to link, connect, support and educate our community with two well known programs:- Salisbury Emergency Relief Fund (SERF) and No Interest Loan Scheme (NILS) - No fees, no Charges EVER! We can now also offer other support (under certain circumstances) for: Advocacy Animal Care for people on the verge of homelessness Overnight Essential Bags for homeless Pharmacy Assistance Portion of a bill Sonder: Withdrawal Program Support Fast and fresh meal packs Referrals to other agencies SERF and NILS Programs have widened their scope of support services. During this challening time with COVID-19 limitations SCOAP has precautions in place for social distancing and the way in which we can partake in appointment delivery. 09.01.2022 Essential Bags are now available at both Burton and Bagster Rd Community Centres. The bags include the vital neccesities such as toiletries, gloves, beanie and scarf, activities for children, and food for when someone is experiencing potential homelessness.. SCOAP Inc staff and volunteers are able to assist with advocacy, support and referrals for anyone expereincing crisis situations....
