17.01.2022 A bitter sweet day in racing today for these two friends & foes Scobie Breasley Lester Piggott Melbourne Cup 2019. Joyeux Anniversaire to my wonderful grandparents; Mumma & GaGa (aka Scobie & May). 84 years today & 71 years of marriage when you left us Gaga Scobie might hold the record for five Caulfield Cup victories but this one eluded him as with Lester! ... Be lucky to all jockeys riding today. As Scobie would say ‘it’s not the distance you win by - hands n heels all the way, & you don’t have to flog a horse!’

16.01.2022 Oh Mick I can’t believe Gaga has been gone so long. I don’t remember dates, just the media when we all arrived off the aircraft from interstate & outside the hospital; relentless - to get a story as someone must have leaked he’d taken a fall. I miss him everyday, along with Mumma, my Son, Freddie Arthur (named after Gaga) & Dad. I hope they’re up there playing havoc. He was so much more; the best grandfather I could have wished for especially as Dad died at 47. He ...was such an integral part of our lives. A charming, kind, loving, funny gentleman all wrapped up with class. A wonderful role model to us all. The boy from Wagga!! I love you Gaga

02.01.2022 A little bit of racing nostalgia for you.........back in 1979 back home in the UK. How fabulous, Uncle Geoff Lewis had his final ride for his best mate & long time rival Gaga, my grandfather Scobie Breasley. Of course I’m biased, I have to be! I remember them both riding against one another. I remember even more, the wonderful relationship they both had and my grandmother, Mumma & Auntie Noelene, my Mum & Dad .......... the parties, both in the UK & Barbados...... jeezus ...did they all know how to party. We learnt only from the best You learn something everyday!
