19.01.2022 Lupin Sweet Potato Chips Ingredients: 2 medium sweet potatoes 2/3 cup lupin flakes... 2/3 cup tapioca flour Sea salt Drizzle of olive oil Mayonnaise of your choice to serve Method: Preheat fan oven to 190C and like two baking trays with high quality unbleached baking paper. Chop sweet potatoes into strips. Mix lupin flakes and tapioca flour in a bowl, then add 1 cup water and mix to combine. Dip the potato strips into the batter ensuring that chunks of batter are left on top of each chip as this is what will make them super crunchy. Lay neatly on the baking sheet and try not to let them touch. You will need to add a splash of water to your batter as you go as it will begin to thicken. Drizzle battered chips with olive oil and place in oven for approx. 30 minutes or until golden and crunchy. Generously sprinkle with sea salt and serve hot with your favourite mayonnaise. Although high in calcium, once the shell is removed the fibre content is slightly reduced. Unhulled Tahini - The outer shell has not been removed before the sesame seeds are ground into a paste. Unhulled tahini has a stronger more bitter flavour and is even higher in calcium and fibre than ...the hulled due to the extra nutritional content from the seed husk. Unhulled tahini is generally darker than the hulled version. Black Tahini - The strongest of the three in terms of colour, nutritional value and flavour. Black tahini has the most bitter flavour, highest calcium and fibre content and is also a great source of iron. The nuttiest tasting of the three, this delicious paste will go a long way as you would generally use a little less than regular tahini. Biodegradable disposable nappies use fewer chemicals and are generally not made from plastic, but they can still take decades to break down. To be biodegradable they need to be composted under stringent conditions, which does not happen at standard landfill facilities. The cost of 1 cloth nappy is rou...ghly the same as 1 weeks worth of the best quality bio nappies, but you will only need approx. 12-20 cloth nappies as you will need 4-5 per day at 6 months. Disposables will cost you approx. $2000-$3,500 per baby depending on when they are potty trained and a large stash of bamboo nappies will only cost you up to $460 max and remember that they can be used for subsequent children. Eco friendly and economical! It takes as much energy to produce one disposable as it does to wash a cloth nappy 200 times. It takes twice the amount of water to produce one disposable nappy than is used to wash one modern cloth nappy for a year. Bamboo does not require chemical pesticides and is quick to regrow. Disposable nappies account for approx. 1/3 of household rubbish in a family with a child under 2 years. This has a huge impact on the costs of waste removal and landfill management, costs that are passed back onto us through our local council rates.
