24.01.2022 Nothing like the mesmerising strains of a sax to inspire "romance in a roomette" on a summer night! 600 seconds...not long to go now!

19.01.2022 15 mins to show time! And Tell Mum... Kulin War Memorial

18.01.2022 Not long to go now until we head to Kulin for the world premiere of Scooplights latest production "And Tell Mum". (Always nice to be able to say world premiere!) We have such a wonderful and talented cast bringing this show, the stories and the people of Kulin past, to life and making it a pretty special production. Jeremy Levi, Tristan McInnes, Cassidy Dunn, Josh Lang, Georgia Smith and Ben Gill.

17.01.2022 Looking for a little bit of acting work before the craziness of Fringeworld and Summer Nights steps in? Well...Scooplight Theatre is casting the net for a MAL...E and FEMALE actor who would be interested in being part of a small performance we are doing in the ballroom at Government House in October - "An Audience with Miss Cook". Miss Cook was the governess there in the 1870s. We have our delightful Miss Cook already (big ups to Cassidy Dunn) but we need to fill the supporting roles. The show is only 25 minutes and will be performed twice on the one day. Dont worry about the short timeframe as they are not huge parts BUT they will be fun and challenging as the actors will need to play with multiple voices (but not multiple costume changes!) If you are interested and would be available to start rehearsing by mid-September, or would like more details, please get in touch with Helen asap and let me know. No age requirements, just enthusiasm!

17.01.2022 Come and see this little gem of a show jam-packed with laughter, tears, toothaches and even a little romance thrown in for good measure. Featuring the lovely Cassidy Dunn and the delightful Alexander McVey. Its a free event, no bookings required and a chance to see one of Scooplight Theatre s rare Perth performances!

17.01.2022 Another event for the Perth Heritage Days Festival you need to put in your diary! Free, no bookings required. With yours truly as MC and featuring 16 presen...ters slamming topics ranging from theatre to football, from the Kimberley to Margaret River, from the historical to the hysterical, from saints to convicts, and all in 180 seconds each. Its bound to be an extreme and entertaining afternoon. See more

15.01.2022 Helen and Julia are delighted to announce that Scooplight Theatre is a finalist in the WA Heritage Awards for our Rottnest production "Capturing the Enemy". The awards are announced on 31st March. We are thinking that the fact that the awards ceremony will be held at the old Hale School building in West Perth is a good omen! Big ups to our talented bunch of actors who added so much magic, Josh Crane, Peter Niblett, Izzy McDonald, Connor Delves, Ben Gill, Tristan McInnes, Mike Hodgen, to the amazing Georgia Smith and Sarah Saunders who took care of us and the production with great gusto, and Pasty Vizents for her help with research and with all the other necessary stuff to do with taking a show to Rottnest.
