13.01.2022 The weather changed for the better and we moved on to follow the french line but made a detour through knolls track. Some of the very few people we came across coming the other way recommended not using the french line , it had taken them all day to travel 60 kms the track was chopped up so they said. Two nissan utes in front of us had hit the dunes a bit hard and both had broken their chasies.

10.01.2022 We left Broken Hill and headed for Marree. We stayed at the Marree hotel for free , all you need to do is buy a beer and a meal. The road is long and the terrain is flat.

04.01.2022 We took the rig road to the waa line then on to knolls track back to the French line. Our second campsite was just before knolls track on the waa line.
04.01.2022 We visited the painted desert. And we stayed at Arcaringa station. The road however was one of the worst in SA.

02.01.2022 From Mt Dare our next stop was Dalhousie springs for a dip in 35 degrees water and tiny fish having a nibble. We left there in a dust storm to our next campsite but due to the condition we slept in the car.
