23.01.2022 Roll Off Roof Control System Complete With Motor, Cog For those interested in building a Roll Off Roof observatory, but are having difficulty in conceptualizing a complete ASCOM automation system to match it, we are soon to release a complete control system with inverter driven motor and gearbox, gear system with matching gear rack, motor mounting bracket, limit switches for roof movement end stops [open and closed positions], all wired and ready to connect to 240v AC. The s...ystem will be inclusive of a number of remotely controllable power relays [limited to 2amps], a 240v AC controllable light switch that is great for connecting a flats panel or a fan, with numerous temperature monitoring options for inside/ outside, and an option for humidity monitoring. The controller connects via a USB 2.0 connection to your PC [Windows operation system], and ASCOM. If you have an interest in this system, please feel free to contact us by email or by phone. 23.01.2022 WHEN IS MY DOME COMING! We realise a few people are becoming more interested on when the first main stocks arrive. It seems the European Summer was a hit period for ScopeDome dome observatories, and this overall caused the supply delay experienced. The original forecast was for the first shipment to arrive late October/ early November. We can say with certainty, that stock will be available from the New Year, with stock scheduled to arrive on the 25th December Ho Ho Ho! We ...will be checking stocks over the short break after Xmas celebrations, with 3m domes, from manual operation to fully automated 3m domes, plus ScopeDome control systems will be finally ready for dispatch. Sorry that this introduction has become sooo drawn out, but these will be worth considering if you are after a comprehensive dome solution. We will post here and on Facebook the stock status.

15.01.2022 When you get your fully automated dome - all small supporting parts are nicely labelled for assembly When you order a fully automated 3m dome, you basically get two (2) articles in the delivery. The main dome itself (nicely packed ready for assembly), and a carton containing all the nuts and bolts, electrical items and manuals. When you first open this carton, it may seem daunting, but once you layout it out, youll be pleasantly surprised by the individual part labelling and wire number system for the pre-wired looms. So get ready to assemble! We will be introducing you to the contents of the normal supply, so you know better what you are getting in advance. We will show you component pieces up close so you can appreciate the quality, standard and overall competency of this equipment - you will not be disappointed.

11.01.2022 Dome's and accessories are now in stock! Stock of domes and accessories are now available for dispatch, with the first orders being dispatched the week starting the 4th of January 2016. We have endeavoured to establish a comprehensive freight calculator for the direct online purchase of our domes, however, we have had to scale back this ambition due to the enormous variation of delivery pricing being dependent upon the ultimate delivery destination and the local supply of del...ivery services. Normally domes will be delivered via a crane truck, with these services not being available at all remote freight depots. In these cases, we will need to manually establish a freight method. 04.01.2022 SPECIAL NEWS RELEASE After a number of years in development and testing, ScopeDome is now releasing a new 3meter Clamshell style observatory that will be available from December 2019! This is very exciting news; providing the Australian market a locally supported Clamshell solution for large optic installations.... Limited stock will be available from December 2019, with a display unit being available for inspection at our Keysborough, Victoria location. From the display unit, we will provide video of the assembly, the units performance, overall features and appearance. Part of the attraction will surround the ability to house large optics within a 3m solution. This observatory will also offer a reduced assembly requirement, as the unit will be delivered mostly assembled. The observatory will be inclusive of a ScopeDome control system providing a full automation solution [ASCOM based]. In addition to our existing 3m Dome range held in stock, these Clamshell designs will be added to our stock holding for prompt delivery/ availability. We continue to hold locally a large range of spare parts to support our customers, with this range to expand to include those required for the Clamshell series.
