08.01.2022 What a day. What a comp. Now that the dust has settled and we've all had a sleep Carly and I just wanted to write a quick thank you to everyone who made Scope ...CrossFit's inaugural Saturday Night Lights competition a success. Firstly to all the athletes who threw down in what ended up being a very close and tough race, we thank you. We had teams come from as far afield as CFS - CrossFit Shoalhaven and CrossFit HF to a little out of the way Box with a brand new comp on a scorching hot day. The turnout was amazing and more than we could ever of hoped for. So thank you. To our volunteers from not only our Gym, but from CrossFit South West Sydney and CFS - CrossFit Shoalhaven. They gave up their Saturday to come and either judge, cook, serve or marshal. With out those guys the day certainly wouldn't of been the success that it was. To the members from our box who leant us equipment and helped set everything up. Thank you. It's our members that make coming into the gym every day worth every minute. Our Vendors and Sponsors, who generously provided some of the best prizes I've seen at a comp. These guys are awesome and their gear is outstanding so make sure you head on over to their sites and grab some :) * ROOKi Australia - Di and Dan your clothing is phenomenal so thank you for supplying us with great Shirts and Vouchers. * LiveSore Aus - Simon and the crew from Livesore, thank you for your awesome prize packs. The winners certainly appreciated it. * VAUNT Lifting - Jemma, thank you for the fantastic shirts. * Fitaid Australia & NZ - Thank you for the vouchers. FitAid was certainly the drink of choice at the even yesterday. * Rocktape Australia - Thank you for some epic gift packs. * True Protein - Thank you for your generous prizes. I'm sure the recipients will love your protein as much as we do. * Activ7 - Recovery Oil - Your products are unknown in Australia but I'm certain the recovery oil will be used extensively today :) * Wolverson Fitness - Thank you for the speed ropes and other excellent prizes. * 180nutrition - at Scope CrossFit we are a huge fan of your protein as well and your prize packs were definitely well received. * Blue Dinosaur - Your bars are delicious and a great hit. Thanks guys. * Macarthur Fitness Equipment - To Eric and the crew over at Macarthur Fitness Equipment from one small business to another thank you for your support and your excellent prize pack. The winners will be in shortly to collect it I'm sure. * Smooth Bean Cafe - Jeff, thank you for the ice cold drinks as well as the caffeine to fuel the day. We'll certainly be getting you back for our next event. Last but not least, Carl Morty. This guy went above and beyond to make the day a success. When the idea of running a comp at our box was hatched I never envisaged the amount of work Carl would put in. Organising teams, vendors, sponsors as well as promoting and structuring the event. He literally thought of everything which meant that the day went off with out a hitch (minus the technical glitch with the scoreboard which was my bad ;)) From the bottom of our hearts thank you mate. I'm sure everyone's inbox's will now be a little quiet with out Carl messaging them every day about the comp. From everyone at Scope CrossFit thank you for such a great day. It was blast. But for now rest and recover and if you're ever in the area feel free to drop in on one of our classes or if you know someone looking for a fun and inclusive CrossFit Box please send them by.
