24.01.2022 SFNC Women's Footy Team We are looking for more girls/women who would like to don the Black and White!! ... The Club is very excited to announce that we will have a Women’s Football Team for 2021. 16 Players along with Coaches and Staff have joined the Club from Rowville Knights for next season!! We wish to welcome all the Players and their Families to Scoresby - The Mighty Magpies. Training and fixture arrangements will be advised once known. New players are most welcome. 19.01.2022 Its good to see things are slowly moving to a 'covid normal'... hopefully with some good news this coming Sunday... we can move to bigger group training on the Netball front! The presentation event was scheduled for earlier this year but was cancelled due to Covid, however with restrictions easing, we have now been able to present Konrad with his Award! 08.01.2022 Returning to Football Training Protocol ... We have received some further guidance and updates in relation to Club requirements for a return to training. Thankfully there appears to be consensus amongst Government departments that a more streamlined and simpler approach can be taken by Clubs. Given we have been in a COVID environment for over 6 months we hope that common sense for the most part will prevail. Check out our website for more details - www.scoresbyfc.org.au The Club Committee will review the detail contained within the document to ensure the Club can comply with each of the requirements listed. AFL Victoria has recommended a week long preparation period leading into training to digest the requirements, enable the appointment of the COVID Safety Officer. CSO to complete training and then pass on the relevant education to coaches, players, parents and support staff as applicable. The guidelines are more extensive than the RTP/RTT provided earlier in the year. These Return to Training Protocols are fluid and will continue to change as we progress through the stages (hopefully easing) although we fully expect restrictions to be with us for 2021 or until such time a vaccine is made available to all residents. The League will leave it with clubs to determine when they commence training, and they anticipate that most Senior teams may have a few sessions pre-Christmas and most Juniors teams will kick off next year. The critical component is making sure Clubs are well planned and can meet the COVID requirements. Access to grounds will be challenging prior to Christmas so we will need to find alternate venues, what doesn’t change is the requirements to adhere to the guidelines. BEFORE WE ARE ABLE TO COMMENCE TRAINING WE MUST PROVIDE THE LEAGUE WITH THE DETAILS OF THE COVID SAFE OFFICER AND A COPY OF THEIR CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETON INFECTION CONTROL TRAINING.
