17.01.2022 Today marks the 9th anniversary for R U OK Day and it is fair to say that it has been a year to remember. R U OK?Day is our national day of action when we remind Australians that every day is the day to ask, Are you OK? if someone in your world is struggling with life’s ups and downs. This year, more than ever it’s important to reach out to those close to you, and even those not so close. Call that friend or family member you haven’t spoken to in a while and simply have a... chat. Ask if they are ok, and be prepared if they say no.... the R U OK day website at www.ruok.org.au has a plethora of tools and simple to follow guides to help you. It’s ok not to be OK. Remember we are all in this together, and together we will emerge stronger than ever before.

In the past month, the Men’s Referral Service has reported an 11 per cent increase in calls compared to last year. I encourage anyone concerned about their own behaviour to contact the Men's Referral Service on 1300 766 491.... If you are experiencing family violence, leaving for your safety is perfectly okay and support services remain available for help through safe steps 24/7 on 1800 015 188 or webchat safesteps.org.au/chat Monday through Friday, 9am to 9pm. #noexcuse #manupandchangeforthebetter #saynotodomesticviolence

09.01.2022 The Scoresby Hose Layer now has its own Facebook Page. Jump on 'Like' and learn more about this infamous truck.

04.01.2022 A shout out to Caribbean Park for the great support they provide not only to Scoresby CFA, but many other Brigades and CFA D13 Training department. Caribbean Park have for many years allowed CFA access to the grounds of Caribbean Lake and some buildings for the purpose of conducting training. This level of site access has allowed us to conduct real life scenarios and through training, maintain and improve our skills and competencies. We also use the site to test the 2.3 Kms o...f hose from our Hose Layer which allows us to conduct testing away from public roads and in a safe environment. So while you may not see us out in public conducting training, we are still full steam ahead with most of our training now conducted at Caribbean Lake on Tuesday & Thursday nights and Sunday mornings. Once again we thank Caribbean Park Management for the continued great support and the fantastic relationship we enjoy, a really great bunch of people. 03.01.2022 For every dad, carer or grandparent we love, staying apart this Sunday is going to be hard. But we can still make a big deal of our dads and carers in small ways that mean a lot. Because dad jokes are just as funny, and sometimes not, over phone or video calls. Gifts we have delivered or a handwritten note in the mail, will mean a lot. And of course, there’s the special ways we remember the dads we've lost. Now more than ever it’s the thought that counts, so let’s thank our ...dads and carers a little differently this year. Because staying apart, keeps us together.

02.01.2022 On this day 19 years ago, 343 Firefighters ran into the World Trade Center doing their job and never returned. 60 Police Officers didn’t return home from that shift. 8 EMT/Paramedics heard their last call and didn’t return home.... Today we remember their bravery and sacrifice. RIP

02.01.2022 Starting next Tuesday, this is a great initiative from our colleagues at Belgrave South CFA and a good opportunity for kids to still learn and get involved in our current environment.

01.01.2022 We serve our communities through prevention, preparation and response. We are there when our communities need us, caring for them beyond bushfires. We are CFA.... #WeWorkAsOne #CFA See more
