25.01.2022 Our office staff put this video together to celebrate Principal's Day. On behalf of the staff, students and school community, we would like to thank Mrs Major and Mr Knight for their hard work and dedication to learning at our College.
25.01.2022 We use Webex but you get the picture! Remote learning has recommenced for our years 7-10 students. Parents, teachers and students from around the state have learned from our first experience and are better for it. Learning is the priority and we are all doing our very best. Set high expectations of course, but be gentle with yourself and others.
24.01.2022 Despite the transition to remote learning and then back on site, Junior School students continued to excel with high learning growth. Here are some of the proud recipients who received awards at the end of first semester. Awards were for growth in reading, writing, and numeracy, as well as for students that had 100% attendance. It is also timely to present our Junior School Leaders with their badges!
24.01.2022 Today, on the 11th hour, on the 11th day, of the 11th month, we will pause to commemorate the sacrifices of Australians at war. Year 9 student Dallas will lead proceedings with a reading, followed by a minute's silence. Lest We Forget.
23.01.2022 Year 7 is such a great year! Our year 7s get so many opportunities both in, and outside the classroom. How good are their smiles?
23.01.2022 Today a letter was shared from the Department Secretary thanking parents and carers. Here are some of our students showing their appreciation of their families, and the wider school community for their support during remote learning.
23.01.2022 As part of last week's Literacy week, a small group of Junior School students from the College were given the opportunity to participate in our primary school reading program. During these sessions, our students read a short story to students from Knox Park PS and Kent Park PS, and then led a whole-class discussion about the book. It was a great experience for our students who thoroughly enjoyed the chance to work with the younger students.
23.01.2022 Only two more sleeps until our Virtual Arts/ Technology Showcase goes live
23.01.2022 We hope you got outside today on World Environment Day!
23.01.2022 The Knox Council stopped by our College to ask our students what’s important to them and how Knox City Council can make the community a better place? Our students’ unique insights into being young people who live and study in Knox will support the council to develop their new strategic plan and improve the local community.
22.01.2022 The team at Knox Infolink wish to advise that their important community support work continues during stage 4 restrictions. If you or someone you know has been impacted and require additional support, contact the team via phone or email for an assessment.
21.01.2022 It's Numeracy and Literacy week at Scoresby Secondary College. Get involved with our exciting activities! Stay tuned!
21.01.2022 We hope all of our families have all enjoyed the break to date. There will no doubt be many questions following this afternoon’s COVID-19 announcements of a return to Stage Three Restrictions. We understand further restrictions is not a preferred option but one which we all need to support. The health and safety of all members of our community is paramount. The following are some key point we can provide today. Further advice will be made via Compass prior to the weekend.... 1. Year 11 and 12 students will return next Monday. This includes students in Year 10 who are undertaking VCE studies. (If there is any evidence of symptoms medical advice must be sought). 2. Students in Junior School Years 7-9 and students in Year 10 who are not enrolled in a VCE subject do not return next week as outlined in today’s announcement. 3. Staff have been allocated five curriculum days next week by the government. Staff will be teaching senior classes on site and preparing online programs for the following five weeks. Please check Compass for further updates later in the week. Take care.
21.01.2022 Keep an eye on the Channel 9 news at 4.00pm and 6.00pm and The Age Newspaper tomorrow.
19.01.2022 Okie Dokie. Have you ever wondered which colour capsicum has the highest Vitamin C content? Well, look no further! Here is a year 12 Chemistry experiment telling us exactly that!
19.01.2022 Thank you to our community partners at the Rotary Club Of Knox for their work with our VCAL students last week. Students were given invaluable opportunities to undertake mock interviews and reflect on the quality feedback provided. We were so proud of our students' professionalism and the way they conducted themselves. We are certain they gained a lot from the experience!
19.01.2022 We are looking forward to welcoming back year 11 and 12 VCE and VCAL students and students in Year 10 undertaking a VCE unit tomorrow. We know it is disappointing for families of year 7-10 students that will have another week of holidays prior to recommencing remote learning on 20th July. Full details have been posted for our community via Compass.

17.01.2022 September 1st is World Letter Writing Day. To celebrate, we would love you to write to the residents of Arcare. During this difficult time when some are unable to have many (or any) visitors, a letter would really make their day.... It’s easy to get involved. Just complete your letter and email it to [email protected] You can send one or send many it is up to you! It’s a great way to come together as a community and build meaningful connections with others. What could you include in your letter? Tell them about you and your family. Let them know why you wanted to write to them. Ask them questions: o When and where were you born? o If you have brothers and sisters, what are your favorite memories with them? o What did you like to do for fun? o Did you have any family pets growing up? o What were your memories of school? What was your favorite course to study? o What did you want to be when you grew up and did you become it? o Who was your greatest influencer and role model growing up? o What world events do you remember occurring? o What was (or is) your proudest moment? Send them your best wishes: Take care, Wishing you well, Hope you’re feeling healthy and happy. Include a drawing of whatever makes you happy! When you write, there’s a few things to remember: Letters must be legible (large print) and handwritten. Make your letter as what you’d like to receive. Be creative! We encourage you to make your letters colorful and heartfelt. Be kind and thoughtful (more than talking about yourself). Thank you for becoming involved!
15.01.2022 By now we are all very used to wearing our masks. Our students and staff look a little bit different wearing them... but you can still see their smiling eyes!
15.01.2022 As the world leader in serving science, Thermo Fisher Scientific is at the heart of the global response to COVID-19. They are working with government agencies and researchers to ensure priority access to instruments, consumables, safety supplies and other products to address the outbreakparticularly in analysis of the virus, diagnosis and personal protection. Despite how busy their senior leaders are, their commitment to our community has not waivered. Thank you to Stephen Pickering (Vice President and General Manager Australia and New Zealand) and Cara Kwok (HR Manager) for delivering donated sanitiser, wipes and masks to the college to help keep our community safer, heathier and cleaner.

08.01.2022 Earlier today, the Victorian Government announced that, on the advice of the Victorian Chief Health Officer, metropolitan Melbourne will move to Stage 4 restrictions to slow the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). These requirements apply to all schools across the government, Catholic and independent sectors and across all metropolitan Melbourne and rural and regional Victoria. The changes to schools’ operations will come into effect from Wednesday 5 August, following a student... free day on Tuesday 4 August, and are likely to apply until the end of Term 3. As outlined in the Chief Health Officer’s advice on Friday, schools remain safe places for staff and students but these steps are critical measures to reduce the movement of students and families across the state. There are implications for our school, and for families in our school community. Please follow Compass posts the next two days. See more
