16.01.2022 Year 9 Agriculture team experience the Merino Wether Challenge The state-wide competition provided education about sheep and wool production as well as practical hands-on sheep management experience for our students. Victoria Clancy, Matilda Knox, Elspeth Hardy, Jamie Healy, Sam Neill and Lachlan Thomas made up our Scots All Saints team who travelled to #Dubbo in March to participate in a training day and to pick up their seven wethers. Their objective was to halter-train their animals so that they could be judged in a live exhibition, whilst also monitoring their weight-gain and feeding them to maximise the value of their fleece and meat. A big congratulations to these students for their work and enthusiasm throughout this program over the past 5 months. 12.01.2022 Bonjour Bathurst The first ever TV station in French has been launched by the Middle School students at Scots All Saints #Bathurst. This new program was born out of an ambition to find a way to make French easier to learn, thus we have mitigated intensive study and replaced it with an authentic learning experience. This has been accomplished by creating an avenue for students to use the French language in the everyday. It allows them to rehearse, practice and immerse them...selves in French on the go. Students will learn to create stories more independently of their own content for their peers. Reaching out and including the wider community, enticing all to speak French. As we evolve into experienced correspondents more students will be able to be involved in the excitement of making news in French! Please enjoy Episode Number 1 featuring Year 7 students. - Madame Ann Maree Adamson - English / LOTE Teacher - #spacetolearn #spacetocreate #spacetoinspire (Translation in the comments) See more
