14.01.2022 Studio lighting tests - yep the switch to a light background didn't work as I'd exactly planned - what I thought was maybe a 1.5 f-stop difference to blow out the background works out that I need a full 3 stops. Switch over to post-production to fix and the new Photoshop AI-powered background remove feature is insane - what used to sometimes take an hour now perfect in seconds. Thanks Model Matt S

13.01.2022 The Headmaster Portrait Love this portrait - it's a no-nonsense, smart power shot. A "Don't lie or you will die" that would strike fear in every naughty school kid Production notes - I'm happy now with the results of the new strobe units & modifiers (finally updated from my multi-speedlight setup). ... The new ones are much bigger & powerful but far less mobile, also mains powered (so no battery changes) & fire everytime. That means less time wasted. And therein lies the crux of it - the biggest trend in business at the moment (due to COVID) is about increasing "operational efficiency" but maintaining quality. . . Model: @nicolepritchard1

I had the wonderfully talented Taylah Mac in for some actor headshots which we nailed in under 20 minutes so then had another 20 to shoot some quick creatives. It was her great grandfather Amos Selmon back in 1856 who settled in Sans Souci & purchased 25 acres along Botany Bay. Yep, that's a lot of local history. my mother-in-law.
