25.01.2022 A new work that symbolises strength, resilience and compassion, which I carved from a block of South Australian Angaston Marble. My vision whilst carving it, and the message the work conveys, is that although we are all facing dark times, just like every stroke of the hammer and chisel to the hard stone, we WILL emerge from this situation. The home where we spent our childhood, that our parents built in 1974 and sold in 1988, was put up for rent earlier this year, so we took the opportunity to walk through it again reminiscing some good childhood memories we had with our Dad, who passed away late last year. 05.01.2022 I am so honoured to have been given the Award of Excellence for the second time by the Royal South Australian Society of the Arts, for my diptych of small bronz...es, currently on show at RSASA Gallery for 2020 Adelaide Fringe. I have used some very new techniques in producing these works, not only in the sculpting itself, but also in the way I have portrayed them, it's like a moment in life has been frozen in bronze and marble, and will quiet literally be alive through Art for thousands of years to come, and pass through many hands.
