24.01.2022 Experiencing the great Australian outdoors is a central motivation around my photography. Consequently, I do love to reminisce about much of what I have experienced, including with my wife on this journey. For 'Sacred Waterhole', we were camped at Ellery Creek with no one else around. With dawn approaching and the stars fading, the high red cliffs lit up and reflected in the waters beneath. When I'm situated in an environment like this, I feel deeply connected to the Australian landscape where I have the opportunity to truly enjoy capturing these photos to share with you.

I captured this photo as a 77 Squadron F/A-18 Hornet taxied down the runaway as smoke drifted across from explosions during a simulated airfield attack, just minutes earlier. Having been part of 77 Squadron during my time in the Royal Australian Air Force, images like this are a great reminder of my career before photography. ... 16.01.2022 'Dawn at the Apostles'. Being a world-recognised icon on the Great Ocean Road, the 12 Apostles are giant rock stacks that soar from the swirling waters of the Southern Ocean. With the creation of the Apostles starting approximately 20 million years ago, the constant erosion of the limestone cliffs now act as a beautiful backdrop. 15.01.2022 One of my favourites, 'Murray Sunrise'. As I sat on the banks of the Murray River on this particular day, I experienced the utmost sense of serenity. The waters were so smooth that the river created glass-like reflections, and I could clearly see fish swimming through the magic that was this river.... When the sun rose, its warm rays touched the red river gums, making it one of the most perfect mornings.

15.01.2022 'Cradle In Fog'. Sometimes, it just comes together. I was longing to get the 'perfect shot' of Cradle Mountain and Dove Lake on a snowy and rainy day. After what felt like mission impossible, the weather finally eased and the sunlight broke through the clouds... allowing me to capture 'Cradle in Fog'. 12.01.2022 While I love to photograph across Australia, and especially the alpine areas, my home of Canberra's landscape is pretty special to photograph too. Why? It's all in the weather. The various seasons throughout the year, mean it's an ever changing landscape. With autumn colours running vibrant with deep reds and burnt oranges while winter has a light grey, almost blue tinge - depicting best in early morning fogs at sunrise. I'm happy to call Canberra home.

09.01.2022 'Fingers of Light'. Living up to its name, Mount Beauty has many scenic highlights being nestled at the foot of Victoria's highest mountain, Mount Bogong. On this particular day, I was all set up for the sunrise that never broke through the clouds. I had just started to pack up, but the early morning sun shone through and touched the Kiewa valley below with its rays of light... all while leaving the top of Mount Bogong still in cloud. I couldn't believe my luck - moments like this don't happen every day but when they do, it's a fantastic way to start the day.

Four Mile Beach is the premier beach of Port Douglas where its sandy beach begins at the northern rocky headland and unfolds in a gentle curve. As I captured 'Four Mile Sunrise', the early rays of sun hit the palms and the crest of an incoming wave... reminding me of exactly why Port Douglas is such a popular Queensland location.

06.01.2022 'Alpine Waters'. As I was walking along the Routeburn Track, I was constantly captivated by the beautiful colours of the alpine waters that flown down the Routeburn River. By using a longer exposure, I was able to capture the flowing water and the mesmerising colours of this river... nature is truly something magical.... 05.01.2022 For me, landscape photography is the perfect excuse to get outdoors and travel. Not that we need an excuse, but it does create an extra incentive for me to get outdoors and do what I love. Sometimes, I may venture out and return without a great photo. But honesty, it doesn't matter all that much because I'm getting outdoors and being up early for sunrise or staying out till after sunset is always relaxing. After all, we're blessed to be living in such a beautiful environment that is Australia.

02.01.2022 'Strength', a new release. After days of solid rain, the snow gums of Kosciuszko National Park were soaked. With the bark wet, the normally muted colours were now prominent and stood out from a distance. As I stood with the sounds of flowing water beneath me, my surroundings created a mood that symbolised the strength of this tree and its endurance with the ever-changing harsh conditions of the Australian Alps.... 02.01.2022 It took me five consecutive mornings to capture 'Alpine Sunrise'. I knew I wanted to photograph the sunrise over the Razorback from this location but each morning, after driving up to Mount Hotham and then snow shoeing out in the dark, the fog would appear from behind me and obscure this view... it wasn't ideal. On this particular morning, the fog kindly waited as I captured 'Alpine Sunrise' - a winter photograph that highlights many of the memorable landmarks that I adore in... Victoria. 01.01.2022 'Buffalo Cascade', a new release. After few days of rain and with fog lingering, the conditions on Mount Buffalo created an eery mood of wilderness and remoteness.
