23.01.2022 I feel like Haymes Paint could be the pinup poster for Make the Swap. They are the absolute epitome of what we look for in a product or company. Do they tick al...l the boxes? Mate, they bloody painted all the boxes. Australian family owned for 86 YEARS FOURTH-generation and still run by the Haymes family Locally made in Ballarat (yep, made in the same town since 1935) Awarded the BEST paint brand in the country Annnnd just to add another 'splash of paint to their brush' (that's a saying isn't it?!) they are sold by over 300 independent stores - that's even more locally run, family owned businesses that are supported When DuluxGroup was sold to multinational Nippon Paint in 2019, Haymes was left standing as the ONLY major Australian made and owned paint brand left So, should we be worried that they might also sell out to an overseas multinational?
