23.01.2022 My partner Kathy started her own business earlier this year but thanks to Covid she hasn’t been able to follow her passion as much as she would have liked. With the numbers being the way they are now, she is hopeful that her very first event can now take place. To be on the safe side, she pushed it back until February but she will do anything she can to make this happen. We have all been through so much this year and mums probably had to take on more extra work than anyone ...else so let’s give them a little break. Lads, if you know someone who deserves a weekend away to just relax and get spoiled, share this with them. Or better yet, put one of those tickets under the Christmas tree.

16.01.2022 As of tomorrow night I will be out of Australia for the next four months. I am traveling to Germany for family reasons but while I will be there Ill be working with another bricklayer. I will be completing brickwork/ stone work I have never done before. This will help me to gain further experience and broaden my skill set. I am excited to bring those skills and techniques back to Scotts Bricklaying when I return. ... 14.01.2022 Client wanted doorway filled in to create more room in the laundry. Nubrik Chapel red bricks were used to match existing chapel red bricks in the wall. Brick bond required a cut as the original bricklayer that bricked the house stuffed the bond on the first two courses. He tried to lose the mistake in the internal corner but then stuff the bond over the steel lintel. Mortar. 01.01.2022 My client had a car run through his fence and pull down his letter box. The new brickwork was laid to match the existing fence. Mortar was cleaned of existing bricks and cappings. Any damaged bricks/ cappings were replaced with new ones. New brickwork was complete and a new letter box was installed. ... Mortar colour.
