21.01.2022 Bonnie and Cyrus Progress Report We have some exciting news to share regarding our lovely weight-loss Labradors, Bonnie and Cyrus. Cyrus has got down to 38kg, from a starting point of 44kg, in just 2 months. Bonnie had a more challenging start but is now down to 50kg, from a starting point of 55kg! This is an excellent job and shows the commitment and love from our local North East Animal Sanctuary. We have been told the cheeky side of Bonnie is now shining through, as she is... now able to show her fun-loving personality. They are playing with toys on their own, are no longer looking for extra food, and can start planned walking. We have found that Bonnie is having some joint issues, so she has been switched to Hills Pet Nutrition Metabolic Plus J/D, which is a combined weight-loss and joint support complete diet. One of our vets Liam is not able to taste a difference between the two, so we are hoping Bonnie cant either! This weight loss is great news and we hope there is more good news to share next month! 12.01.2022 BONNIE AND CYRUS UPDATE: Cyrus has managed to make it to his target condition, weighing in at 36kg this morning! At the start of the weight loss program we estimated his target weight to be 34kg (starting at 44kg We are due for another Bonnie and Cyrus update, and this time it is the best news yet! As you can see with the photos below (blue collar), there is a waistline, abdominal tuck, and when he receives good boy pats his ribs and tail base bones are palpable. We have dec...ided to maintain him at around 36kg. Bonnie is not quite yet at her target weight, but she has managed to make it to 46kg after starting at 55kg. She is about halfway there! She is developing a waistline (red collar photos) and is able to exercise more. A big thank you to Hills Pet Nutrition for sponsoring Bonnie and Cyrus, and congratulations to the North East Animal Sanctuary for their hard work paying off. There is still more work to be done but we have achieved some very promising results! See more
