25.01.2022 A small act of kindness can mean the world to the person/people you show kindness too. Every year the wonderful team at Viva Life Photography capture Scott finishing his 50km Treadmill Challenge. They always capture a family photo as well. This year once Jack finished getting photos of Scott and Fat Cat he said to get the family to come in for a photo. I said I didn’t think we’d be able to get Scott’s Grandma through to the front for a photo this year because she was in a w...heelchair and it was going to be too hard to make space with everyone around the front of our zone. He said that meant he and Fat Cat would go to Grandma because it was important to get our family photo. Scott’s Grandma had been in hospital for 4 months and got home not long before the Telethon Weekend. We weren’t sure she’d make it to see Scott this year but she was determined to get there and cheer him on as he completed his 50km. Capturing that moment was so special and we thank Jack and Fat Cat for their kindness in making sure we’d have a photo to remember it. Today is World Kindness Day. What small act of Kindness can you do to make someone’s day better? Jack at Viva Life Photography See more

21.01.2022 Dads view from the harvester last night. No filter required, a Wheatbelt sunset in all its natural beauty

21.01.2022 A slightly slower paced Sunday compared to last Sunday’s 50km After 50km on Sunday, 40km on Monday and school for the rest of the week Scott was exhausted and has enjoyed catching up on some rest this weekend. Thank you to everyone for all of your messages and comments of support. Scott’s been reading through them today and it has made him smile

18.01.2022 Today at 11am, in the quiet of the bush we remembered them. I went to collect Scott from his Year 9 camp. He’s just spent 3 nights camping out in the bush in the middle of the storms we’ve had. Just before it was time to leave the camp leader noted the time and we all stood in silence for a minute. Thankful for the sacrifice of others so we could stand there freely today

14.01.2022 This group of amazing people (plus a few ladies who couldn’t make it) have been a huge part of Scott’s walking journey. Some from the very beginning and some for most of the journey. Mr Mummery and Scott’s ‘Telethon Ladies’ became our Telethon family. Always there to help Scott, support him and take him under their wings. We’ve been through a lot of good times, smiles and laughter, as well as a lot of tough times. No matter what they were always there. They have watched Scot...t grow from hip height to being taller than them and it’s been an honour to share his childhood with them. In recent years everyone (except Scott) has moved on to other jobs and he’s been so sad to see them go, we were together as a team for so long. Even though work has taken everyone in different directions this amazing group of people are still there for Scott, helping him, supporting him and cheering him on. Last night we came together to celebrate a decade of Scott walking. Here’s to all of you and to many more years of us all walking along with Scott wherever his journey may take him See more

11.01.2022 Thank you. Thank you everyone! I honestly can’t say thank you enough! On a year like no other, with many uncertainties I knew no matter what I was going to walk like I always do for Telethon. On WA Day I walked my 7th Marathon/11th Great walk and for the Telethon Weekend in October I walked 90km (50km on the Sunday and 40km on the Monday. Thank you to everyone for pushing through on a hard year to dig deep as you always do to support me and Telethon. With the support of the... generous community around me we raised a massive $9,791.30 for Telethon. It was more than I could have imagined for 2020! Thank you for your continued support and help. Together we can make a big difference. I don’t know what 2021 will hold for the world but I do know, as always I will be walking! - Scott See more
