Old-style showerheads can use up to 15-20 litres per minute whereas upgrading to a three-star WELS ...rated showerhead would reduce this to no more than 9 litres a minute! 19.01.2022 BREAKING An intense low-pressure system is forecast to affect the coast between Port Stephens and Sydney overnight tonight. Damaging winds and localis...ed heavy rainfall totals of 100-300mm are currently being predicted. Waterspouts are also a possibility with this type of system. High Spring tides are also affecting the coastline around 10:18pm and 10:35am. Such intense rainfall is likely to lead to flash flooding. The many areas prone to flooding including but not limited to known hotspots such as Newcastle, Wallsend, Gosford, Warringah and Narrabeen. If you know people in these areas whose houses have been affected by flash flooding in the past, please contact them and strongly suggest that that stay somewhere else tonight. 05.01.2022 Think finding toilet paper is a problem? What about blocked drains? Are you still finding it difficult to buy toilet paper? I know I am. For the first time in a...bout six weeks I finally got hold of 9 rolls during my shop yesterday. While we keep being told that there is plenty in production seeing it appearing on our supermarket shelves is another thing. The lack of toilet paper has seen a spike in sales of ‘alternatives’. Tissues, serviettes, towelling paper or wet wipes have been heading off the supermarket shelves to be used on our bums....read more...

02.01.2022 We are returning to Level 1 water restrictions from Monday 24 February, after recent rain provided a welcome boost to our dams While our dams haven’t made a... full recovery, they are in better shape, having lifted 10% to more than 62% capacity in just over a week. Although this is a positive step forward, we aren’t out of the woods yet and encourage everyone to continue to use water wisely and make savings around their homes Media Release: http://bit.ly/HWMediaReleases
