25.01.2022 First organised tour for 2020. Taking two local chip pies on a ride through the majestic countryside I like to call the Central Tablelands. It has been raining a bit lately so I am mindful of the possibilities of a couple of river crossings. The boys won’t need their spray on mud today, because it’s going to get dirty. #ktm #ktm690 #scottytayloradventurerides #pubforlunch #beardbrothersmotorcycles #letstwist

22.01.2022 Bikes are all prepped for tomorrow’s adventure. My mate from Bondi is also making the trip to Bathurst in the morning for the ride. Couple of beers and an early bedtime. Bring on tomorrow.

20.01.2022 I’ve had a couple of falls but can’t match this one!

15.01.2022 My two boys are taking the KTM hire bikes out for a squirt this afternoon. They assure me that they will come back just as clean!

14.01.2022 Actual footage of my mate laying his DR650 over yesterday!

10.01.2022 Let’s do some kilometres!

07.01.2022 Another awesome Thursday spent Adventure riding. Tracks were in perfect condition after the rain a couple of days ago. Even starting to nail the creek crossings.

02.01.2022 What an awesome afternoon ride! Left Bathurst and headed towards Turondale to the Turon River. Followed the river bed all the way to Sofala. It’s amazing country out there.

02.01.2022 Snap shot of today’s ride. Hub for breakfast, Mount Horrible to Portland for coffee, Mount Piper power station, Black Fellows hand trail to Lithgow then Bilpin. Then the dirt began all the way to Wiseman’s Ferry. Bloody great day. Now a couple of cold beers at The top Pub @ Wallerawang with good mates and a warm bed.

02.01.2022 Quick refuel before today’s ride. The Bacon Benny Bagel hits the spot every Sunday morning. Come down and see Nancy @ The Hub on keppel street Bathurst.

02.01.2022 Well what a day! I teamed up again today with my old mate from Bathurst, to head out for some exploring towards the historic township of Hill End. We headed towards Duramana to the bridle track where we first stopped at the bluff. It’s an amazing view from way up there but holy shit its high! We weaved our way along the tight rocky trails to come across a old mining tunnel on the side of one of the cliffs. It’s an awesome thing to see, that years ago gold prospectors chipped ...away at the rocks by hand to create this tunnel with no machinery or safety guards. The next pieces of historic equipment we found was a rock crusher way up in the hills with abandoned mine shafts all around the area. Arriving into Hill End, we went to the Merlin lookout to get a visual of the landscape and to see signage that stated up to 25 individual mining spots were claimed in just this one area of rugged country side. In the panoramic picture, that is where the famous Holtermann Nugget was found. After all this exploring we decided to head towards Sofala, where there is a awesome cafe in the Main Street. A couple of latte’s, a bowl of crab linguine and slow cooked lamb shank for lunch and we were as happy as pigs in @&#. If you feel like a good country drive the Painted Horse Cafe in Sofala is a must. So in finishing this blog, ride safe, eat well and enjoy a coldie. See more
