25.01.2022 Registrations are now OPEN!!!!! Gulargambone here we come!!! https://www.mycause.com.au/events/scrapheapadventureride2020
25.01.2022 BIT OF AN UPDATE Sadly, given the current situation and real possibility we could be locked down at any time. I have had to make the tough decision to push Scrapheap Adventure Ride 2021 Gulargambone back to October 1-3, 2021. With the time, effort and organisation it takes for everyone to get to the event including participants, sponsors and SAR Team, it is a just bit too risky.... My hope is that a simpler ride, similar to the Silly Buggers Ride, will be held on weekend of March 20-21 to coincide with World Down Syndrome Day. Details will be released when that comes together. Thanks for your understanding. An e-update will be coming out next week with more details Kind Regards, Perry

08.01.2022 I am truly humbled to receive the Order Of Australia award today. I am also thankful for all others involved in Down Syndrome support and advocacy, particularly those Scrappers comprising the Scrapheap Adventure Ride community. We have amazing teams from country towns and city alike, and all are tireless workers in their local communities. Whether running BBQ fundraisers or other weekend events, they are always a passionate and positive voice for those with Down Syndrome, rem...inding others of their contributions and value as individuals in our society. I'm thankful for my wife Jane and daughters Grace and Molly, for their constant support and encouragement even with the late nights in the shed building bikes for the Scrapheap Adventure Ride. It has now been operating for over 12 years, raising both awareness and funds. We have met many families touched by Down Syndrome, and visited many communities across NSW. The Ride continues to grow each year, with an assurance that there will be many new adventures ahead! A heartfelt thank you to all Scrappers and their supporters who make a real difference in the Down Syndrome community.

05.01.2022 If there’s anyone that deserves to be honoured for service to the community, it’s our Perry. The bloke is an absolute force of nature and sets the bar for the rest of us - we should all take a leaf out of Perry’s book. Congratulations mate, from the Scrapheap Community.
