25.01.2022 A reminder that we have a Meetup this evening. Slots are still available. Sign up and check it out. https://www.meetup.com/Sunshine-Coast-Screen-Me//277823449

24.01.2022 Just a reminder. In person slots are still available. Join us for an evening of enlightenment around virtual production with someone who has been at the forefront of the field. David Zwierzchaczewski has been working in the Film & TV and computer games industries for over 20 years. He first saw the potential of virtual production back in 2006 when he was cinematic director for Creative Assembly and then Sega, while working on the Total War franchise. More recently, David man...aged the Australian side of the pre-visualisation for Xmen Dark Phoenix, where he helped to develop a 24 hour production cycle with the production crew in Montreal, using virtual production as the key pipeline. David was also the lead at Rock Star games, producing L.A. Noire, which won a BAFTA and was the best selling game of its release year with over 899,000 copies sold in the USA. Currently, David works at Autodesk as the animation specialist for the Media and Entertainment division covering the APAC region. With Autodesk being the largest supplier of software and pipeline technology in the film, TV and computer games industries and APAC being the fastest growing region for the media and entertainment business, David is in a unique position to see firsthand where the industry is headed while also understanding the artistic and technical requirements to produce award winning and cost competitive content. To come to our event please register here: https://www.meetup.com/Sunshine-Coast-Screen-M//276375871/ David will be in residency at the Peregian Digital Hub and available for one on one conversations. March 1-3rd. 13.01.2022 The Sunshine Coast Screen Collective is happy to announce the successful launch of Perfect Messy Love. Come have a look at what collaboration looks like. So many talented people and industry orgs donated their time and services to making this happen. Perfect Messy Love, a new romance comedy web series filmed entirely on the Sunshine Coast, tells the story of Emily and Matt, who develop their relationship via video chat. The series opens in London with Emily’s life falling ap...art. This leads to Emily swapping her London flat with surfer Matt’s Sunshine Coast beach house. They sort out the messiness of their circumstances through spending time together, albeit online. Perfect Messy Love is developed with investment from Screen QLD and has been produced by two local screen creatives Tam Sainsbury and Megan Williams (created and directed by Tam Sainsbury and written by Megan Williams) and supported by a cast and crew of over forty Sunshine Coast and Queensland based artists including post production, music composer, talent and social media experts. The Perfect Messy Love producers, cast and crew worked tirelessly for three months to bring eighty minutes of fun to a global audience via YouTube, at the back end of months of production shutdowns because of Covid. The production crew observed the new Covid restrictions for Australian Production sets and got the job done. Perfect Messy Love is a nine episode web series and you can catch it on YouTube at https://bit.ly/PerfectMessyLove or www.perfectmessylove.com. Social are @perfectmessylove
