15.05.2022 "A picture is worth a thousand words" Ted Carroll (aka SONNY) had the pleasure of meeting his Great Grandson Sonny George Hutchen today. Children are the rainbow of life. Grandchildren are the pot of gold!
03.05.2022 Celebrated on Thursday 12 May 2022 around the globe, International Nurses Day (IND) is an opportunity to thank nurses, show how nursing can look in the future, and how the profession will transform the next stage of healthcare.
23.01.2022 Happy New Year from everyone at Stroud Community Lodge & Stroud Community Services. As 2020 ends and 2021 rolls in we want to thank to all the healthcare worker...s on the front line who are caring for our residents. Because of the work we do, an increasing number of older Australians are able to age well in their own homes. Other seniors are given the chance to live their lives in a nurturing community with the level of support they need, either in Self Care Units or Residential Aged Care Homes. Aged care workers are some of the most passionate and hard-working people in the wider health system. They are doing fabulous and heroic work on the frontline of the most challenging period in our lifetimes in the face of a once-in-a-century emergency. We have all missed family and friends, birthday celebrations, milestones, holidays, dining out and many other events, which we now realise we took for granted but it has ultimately contributed to improving the lives of our older Australians. To our Managers, Nurses and carers Thank you To our Cooks, cleaners, and laundry staff -Thank you To our Drivers and maintenance workers - Thankyou To our Chaplains and pastoral carers - Thankyou To our Admin and reception workers Thankyou To our Volunteers - Thankyou

15.01.2022 #kindjuly #staykind We encourage all Australians to do something kind each day in July. Why stop after July? Studies have confirmed that brief simple acts of ...kindness benefit both the giver and receiver. Kindness does not have to be profound to make a difference to someone’s life. A simple daily act for a month has enormous flow-on benefits and also provides an opportunity for kindness to move to the front of our mindset year-round. Drop a kind word See more
14.01.2022 As the single largest workforce group, nurses are there at every turn, making a real difference to the care and the experience of patients and their families an...d carers. International Nurses Day is celebrated each year on 12 May, on the birthday of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing. On International Nurses Day, we want to acknowledge the compassion, professionalism, and round-the-clock commitment of nurses caring for patients in the Aged Care, Public & Private health system. We celebrate and appreciate nurses, care workers and the important role of nursing across the world.

11.01.2022 Client engagement is about more than surveying clients to get their feedback on how satisfied they are with their care and services. It’s about: using every interaction as an opportunity to build relationships, trust and mutual respect having different conversations (and asking different questions) to understand each person’s story as well as their needs, goals and preferences orienting organisations around the consumer. This influences governance, the way staff are rec...ruited and trained, the way risk is assessed and managed, and the way performance is measured. Stroud Community Services believes in client engagement to implement the best services to suit YOUR needs. See more

09.01.2022 The Australian Government recommends that everyone over the age of 6 months has the flu shot every year. It’s difficult to predict who will catch influenza (usu...ally referred to as the flu), or who will become seriously ill from it. The flu can require someone to be hospitalised and it can even be fatal. Getting vaccinated against the flu helps protect both you and the people around you. It’s particularly important to protect vulnerable people in the community who can’t be vaccinated, such as babies who are younger than 6 months and adults with low immunity.
