13.05.2022 Hello again :) You may have noticed a name change from Stitches Chilli Smokehouse to Dusty's Smokehouse. Why the name change? It's to honour my boy Dusty. Unfortunately I had to put him down last year due to cancer- he was 12 years old.... He was the best dog. So calm, so patient. He was loved by all who met him. He was my unofficial service dog, helping me thru PTSD and other mental health battles. He sat with people who were victims of horrific crimes and kept them calm, he could spend time with kids with intellectual and physical disabilities and he wouldn't bat an eye no matter how rough they got. He truly was a remarkable dog and as I say, i didn't rescue him but it was he who rescued me :) Dusty, this is for you buddy :)

28.04.2022 Good afternoon everyone! I've been a little quiet over past 2 months as I had a fitness challenge at the gym I go to. Was supposed to be 8 weeks but got extended due to the Brisbane Lockdowns. I've also had some personal issues to work through as well as just taking a break from stuff. Got the smoker firing up now with these briquettes. I've never used them before but am keen to see how they go. I'll also be using hickory wood.... Going into the smoker will be turkey wing bits and a turkey drumstick as well as a couple of chicken thigh fillets :)

24.04.2022 Got the smoker cranking today. Doing a cook up for people at work. If your a Qlink work mate and working tomorrow, I'll have some goodies for you :) Got chicken drumsticks going using this bbq honey rub and Hickory wood :)
